I did the BT on 31st Dec to pay off two cards - they just haven't sent the money through! I am not overly concerned as having phoned them they said they will cover the interest. I will have to chase them in two stages -
stage 1 MAKE the balance transfer
stage 2 -write to them to pay me all interest incurred since 31st Dec (although I did make minimum payments 'just in case' as they said it would take upto 15 days) also cost of phone calls/inconvenience.
    and they are 0845 numbers..
I am just cross as I phoned twice already, been apologised to and it STILL isn't sorted...

It is now FEB, I would start to get concerned, where has that money gone to, even this day and age, it shouldn't take that long!! did you get it in writing that they would cover the interest, having been there myself they seem to 'forget' things like that. Good luck with it all.

    Morning All

Hope you had a good night's sleep.

Cats go me up early, as they are starving!!! well they think they are.

    I have done the ironing
now need to hoover round, but going to wait a while, as I think it is far to early to hoover.
Going to do roast chicken and veg for lunch.

    Hugs to you all

HI Kiwi and DeniseNZ hope you are both ok and the heat is a bit better for you both.

Triker ~~ who is missing?? :D :rotfl:

I wish I did that well on ebay, now I only just break even, (by the time you have had listing fees, and paypal fees) so I don't both, I collect everything up, and store it and go and car boot a couple of times a year when it is warmer.

Been up for a while - mind you I slept on the settee last night so I could sleep sitting up as everytime I tried to lie down in bed I had a coughing fit! Mind you the kids didn't get up until 6.45 so I managed to stay there until then.

Going to have a bath now and then will catch up with you all later

Didn't really do anything yesterday - nipped into Hanley to post passports and pay some money into the bank, then did the food shopping. Kids then had friends round until 7.30 but I just sat on the settee as I wasn't feeling brilliant.

Weezl, just be careful! There is some really good stuff on the flylady site - much better than when you had to sign up for all the junk back when I started it.
    Try http://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyingLessons_crisiscleaning.asp as well.

My ankle is a lot better this morning thanks, I can at least walk on it! Despite the problem DH re-squared and cemented the wall, removed the offending bit of wood, fitted the vents for the boiler, and installed a new loo as the old cloakroom one was cracked and leaking. Haven't had the heart to go and tell him the new one is leaking yet, and that the WM has overflowed because the pipies are frozen. Good job the carpet is coming up for the tiles to go in. I need to get a skip booked once the snow goes - the patio is lost under a mountain of rubble sacks full of old plaster and bricks.

DW is on, must get the WM working for school uniform. Off to make DH a cup of tea and a bacon/egg/cheese muffin (mummy dongalls to quote the children!).

Denise and Kiwi - you're both doing very well!
Hex - glad your ankle's getting better but still take it steady

Now, how's my list? All the flylady stuff is done, apart from the ironing. I should get at least one star for that!

Monday - Living room, hall and stairs!

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining room
[strike]Sweep and mop floors[/strike] Went one better and completely replaced it :D
    HHI
Wednesday - Beast Pits and Spare Ooms!
    Not my responsibility :D
    Thursday - Master Mess-room.. & landing
    1. HHI
    Friday -fun and frolics..

So I have to concentrate on my personal list which goes like this:
    • Email agent
    • Update website
    • [STRIKE]Shopping[/STRIKE]
    • Accounts
    • Finish Kick plates
    • Defrost freezer

Excellent news Mumoffour77 - you must be very proud!

And I've had some top news this morning. Just logged onto my company bank account and discovered I can download all the statements for FY ending 2008 into Excel. Normally I've had to sit and type it all up from the hard copy statements. That's saved me about 3 hours hard work!
