Has anyone heard from Pigpen - is she Ok? Or has she run away from home again?

I know :D It's spookily all coming together - like a plan! Gosh!

And the keeping it in the family stuff - DiL's parents have had the flat as a BTL for a while. It just so happens their tenants are moving out. I think they've given DD a slightly preferential rent rate but the rest is all above board and business like - deposits etc. etc.

Peasant now in t'oven with red wine, onions, garlic, peppers and thyme.

  • boddy I am so pleased for your DD- its good to hear that she's trying for a job and feeling more confident. what a lovely Mum you are!!:A

    Hex hows the ankle?

lil_me Hope the weather doesnt spoil your night out.

greenbee thats the right decision - no point taking chances and both your friends will totally understand so stop feeling guilty!!!

had to go into town for a couple of things - ooh it was baltic!!! bumped into my best mate and chatted for 15 mins
went to T for 2 things and that was all I bought!
went to stationers for padded envs and didnt look round - was very good!!
went to get a storage box I had seen but just missed the shop shutting so will go next week

came home and forgot the washing was still out - most of it was dry but my jeans were standing up by themselves in the bathroom until they thawed!!

have made quite good progress today but have had to re-organise my only big cupboard and that has taken time.
    toots xx

Kaz - have confidence in yourself! What's making you scared about trying it? If the first lot's a disaster, then bin it (or add it to ice cream and freeze) and try again.

Jam/marmalade making is actually quite easy - don't be fooled by the chefs and people with financial interests in recipe books and supermarket sales trying to put you off...

    Hi all, well not done flying as such today but managed to navigate the horror that is shoe shopping for children and successfully managed to get DD2 a pair of boots, a pair of shoes and 2 pairs of navy school trousers without;

    a) my head blowing up

    b) me collapsing into tears of sheer frustration and rage at lack of suitable shoes

    c) shouting loudly, in a half strangled manner, why do they never have my Daughter's size and which dufus made the decision that girls shoe sizes stop at size 5!!!

Anyway aside from that had a pleasant day pootling around and about. Now home so I should really look at the list.

Soappie really pleased for you DS and his GF.

Greenbee, I think, after looking at that bed, that it may be a little small, it's tiny....:rotfl:

Valli well done on your marmalade. Can't stand the stuff meself but Paddington would no doubt be a friend for life.:D

Anwsmum, aww LOVE THOSE BUTTY'S , :T, that's what you call a doorstep. xx

Nicky hope your DD is ok and the icecream soothes her sore throat.

Inanmess200, don't worry just take a breather and then pick one thing to start off with when you feel you can manage it. Tiny steps remember hun. xx

It's t'other way round love - it's DD and her Bloke.

Now, if I could persuade DS and DiL to get their own place, I could seriously declutter and reduce my household bills big time. :rotfl:

Sorry you've had a bit of a pants (or should it be shoes) day. I know exactly how you feel about shoe shopping for your kids - except I have that problem myself - lack of suitable shoes!
