Decorating to sell

Another vote for tiles or similar.
As for colour remember that dark colours make a room look smaller. So if its only little then i'd say a nice, light neutral colour will be perfect! Maybe not white? not sure but i think maybe cream, or off white or something....?!0 -
ok i said not white just before everyone came in and said yes white lol! those posts werent there when i started typing!0

I only say white because it is easier if you have a white suite. I'm doing my bathroom (once our purchase goes through) and am thinking of an ivory granite for our floor tiles, but that seems extravagent for doing up to sell.I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent:rolleyes:0

Lol, as much as I would love underfloor heating, I do not want to spend a fortune doing it up just for selling. All white sounds a little bit clinical so guess I will go for a cream/biscuit colour for both the walls and floor tiles.
Thanks for all your help - we're not much of ideas people - I have only decorated once in the 12 yrs I have lived here! Too much choice out there - stresses me :rotfl:Thank you all who post.0 -

Exactly what I was originally thinking Baby_fuzz - we've found a white 3 piece suite for £199 which I thought was a good price and are picking it up tomorrow. I just want to do the flat up so it's neat & clean enough to sell.Thank you all who post.0

Whats wrong with having carpet in the bathroom? Our yellow one is lovely although it was an off white when we bought it. Strange that...0

We've got a type of wood/laminate stuff in our bathroom and it's great. It's not cold like tiles, but is wipeable.
We had carpet in our rented bathroom which was disgusting. I HATED it with a passion.
I would go for lino if doing up to sell, a really plain one.0
