Decorating to sell

We are just re-decorating our flat as it it not fit to sell at the moment. We have just ripped up the carpet in the bathroom and would appreciate some advice as to whether replace the carpet or tile - what would buyers prefer? It's a very small bathroom so cost/time not a worry. The whole flat will be re-carpeted (again not so big lol) in due course.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thank you all who post.

If you listen to Ann Maurice, don't have carpet in the bathroom0

I certainly wouldn't want carpet in the bathroom. Tile or vinyl would probably be your best bet because it doesn't matter so much if it gets wet. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0

Agree - tile or vinyl. Tile if you've got the budget (probably if the bathroom's not too big), otherwise vinyl.
Carpet in a bathroom is just grim - had it here for a couple of years before I tiled and tiles are lovely in comparison.0 -
tiles /vinyl every time I think0

Thanks all - I liked the warmth of the carpet but thought it may not be to everyones taste so we will go with tiles. Now we just got to decide on a colour!!! :undecided (we are replacing the ancient Avocado bath suite with a nice new white one.)Thank you all who post.0

Underfloor heating with tiles
I'd go for white everything, you can bring colour in with towels and accessories.I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent:rolleyes:0 -

Just to be awkward. It's nice and you can scrub it with bleach.0 -
