Had a similar experience here in St Andrews.
I phoned the sales number, got through to Jane who told me I could only get Access. I explained the situation and she said she'd phone me back in 5-10 mins once she'd found out the full story.
Hour later, nothing, so I phone the number again and request the same person, got the "don't call us, we'll call you" routine again.
So today, I try again and get to speak to Jamie, who tells me a story about how the exchange hasn't been unbundled, that the samknows website isn't accurate, that there are no O2 customers on LLU in St Andrews: except Steven, who I mention, and then all of a sudden he knows that the exchange is running at capacity. So, I say I'll take Access, but will use the girlfriends mobile for the discount deal as she uses her mobile more than me, but need to wait til she's home from work.
I phone in the early evening and I get to speak to Ricky, I ask for Access and he tells me that I can get the LLU packages! So while the system's telling him that, I snap his hand off for the premium package and congratulate him on the sales commission he's earnt due to the incompetence of others!
Moral of the story here: be persistent!
Good-bye Tiscrapi broadband!

Well, that's me switched over onto O2 premium package officially now, and it shows: 33 times the download performance for 33% less than we were paying before! Very happy bunny!
Won't let me link in speedtest results, so here they are:
Download: 12.67 Mb/s
