  • Oh crumbs... I went into the office to pick up my laptop - bought food as the staff canteen was closed!!! So instead of a cheap £2.00 meal I spent £6.70 including a bar of chocolate just in case the train home broke down and I needed food! giggle... ok, rubbish excuse but if I don't eat the chocolate can I reduce it from the £6.70? hehehe
Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

    Hi all

Got snow here but dont want it as OH had a car bump when he slid in it this morning, he was ok but insurance excess is £500 not sure where that is going to come from?:confused:Lula can I borrow your magic purse?:rotfl:

NSD yesterday and today which is a good thing.

Baby is called Aidan pointy and I had him by Emergency C section after 13 hours of labour, he weighed 9lb 4oz so no wonder he got a bit stuck!!!

Oh I am also paying 34% interest to MBNA, and I too want to get rid of them ASAP as they are not very helpful.

Second NSD for me thanks to the snow.

Pips Mum - glad your OH wasn't hurt but sorry to hear about the car cost- its always these unplanned expenses that set us back. Hope it turns out not to be costly.

Got bought lots of tea today by a very handsome dance teacher :happyhear who not only bought me tea and spent ages with me watching Eddie Izzard clips on Youtube, but also may have sorted out a place for me to live when I graduate in June! *swoon*

Errrrr, back to the money..... Yes! Just been to Sainsbury's but that's out of my grocery budget, so unless I end up going out tonight - which is highly unlikely due to the weather - it's another NSD for me today - 3 in a row! I'm so excited I could just !!!

Pips mum - Sorry to here about the car, but glad the hubby's ok. Aidan is a gorgeous name:o. And I'm an MBNA customer on 30.9% APR also trying to clear it ASAP. Now I'm clearling it quickly they keep offering me stuff like 0% balance transfers. Funny, a couple of months ago they sold on some of my debt to an agency after missing ONE payment!! They're ridiculous!

Naomim - That sucks! Why'd they bother doing that - just seems mean to me! And I'm on the London/Surrey border too in snowy Surbiton!

£5.37 on 3 boxes of crispbread, it's one of the very few things I can snack on :(

  • Wow lots of posts to catch up on since this morning. It has been a glorious snowy day here is Glasgow.

In all my stupidity I decided even though it was snowing I was going to walk to work and back again today (I have no idea why I thought this was a good idea) anyway I have walked 1.5 hours in the snow today. One bonus is that I didn't buy a bus ticket today so if I can keep it up the rest of the week that will be £10 saved.

Piquant good luck with getting rid of MBNA sounds like they are complete bar-stewards.

wit40iwtwan did you eat the chocolate? I know I would have. Seems rubbish they closed your staff canteen. I was so glad I took lunch today so I didn't need to venture out into the blizzard.

Pips mum sounds like you had a lot of hard work to bring your little boy into the world can't imagine that was very easy after 13 hours I think I would have collapsed.

ladymay sounds like you are very loved up.

Raychee did you get any snow at all?

Any hoo NSD for me today as couldn't be bothered to go out at lunch and I am at home and I am refusing to go out again.

Yes, we have snow now - not enough to cause problems (though knowing Bristol, the whole city will now come to a standstill...)

We're off for a snow walk in a few minutes. :)

    A NSD for me. :j

More details please!! If he appreciates Izzard he's a keeper :D

I have had another NSD today! I gave t'other half £2 out of my purse for his busfares, but this is part of £10 I have lent him which he is paying back when his Student Loan arrives, so doesn't count as a spend. I also bought milk and bread, but this comes out of the groceries budget this early in the month!

No weekly budget money was harmed in the making of this Monday :rotfl:
