Just been for a mooch round town with OH and we spent grand total of £3 - £1 in old fashioned sweet shop :o and £2 in charity shop on a Quicksilver t-shirt for OH. He is chuffed with it (and I am too, esepcialy as it was from the Big C shop) We have made a resolution to look in charity shops more often!:money:

Now going to have a cup of tea and then get ready for party, have a lovely rest of day everyone

Well I dont know, I am getting pretty good at doing things one handed!!!

Lillian - just googled quality save and we dont have one down here but we have a few shops similar so yep definately will give them a go. The other day I got OH a 1kg tub of hairgel for 99p!! Also going to look for offers like BOGOF as I figured I might as well start buying bigger size nappies and keeping them by. Have plenty of newborn and little baby ones as I bought a pack a week whilst I was pregnant.

    Hello guys and gals

Blondiedebtfree - the free scrathcards are with sites like Butlins Bingo, Littlewoods Bingo etc (although only sign up for ONE St Minver owned account). You deposit £10, play for 10p (guaranteed minimum), then withdraw your £10 same day. People average about £10 a month but you can get more if you're lucky :D

Not much going on today as am at PT job all day although that's DFW as will get about £50 hopefully. Taxed to high heaven though as is second job :(

    So.

Checked online banking - Paypal payment is out for packaging for Ebay (would normally reuse but it's for 12" records and need to package them properly as they're rare. Bought more than I need immediately as was cheaper to buy in bulk overall) - however Amazon payment is in, which I had already transferred out into savings, so that's mine to keep.

Virtual pot - transferred £2.89 across to round account down.

HM lunch - came round the corner to FT job to heat up in microwave!

Juice, fruit, yoghurt from fridge, and HM flapjack too.

    Daily scratchies - 10p and 20p

Check Ebay sales - most finish tomorrow so must keep an eye on them

We were going to rent Underworld and Underworld: Evolution tonight in advance of seeing Rise of the Lycans, thought it was good cause have the 2 rentals for £5 from Pigsback - however, a quick flick through TV Guide this morning and they're both on Film4 tonight! So that's £5 saved, will put in sealed pot.

I think that's everything? Pipsmum, how about Quality Save or suchlike for bargain stockpiling?

    Have good days everyone xx

  • afternoon all. Happy weekend!

Sorry didnt get in yesterday - was picking up my new puppy! She is so cute but I am knackered, its like having a new baby. We got woken up every 4 hours and she is the furthest from being toilet trained I have ever seen!

Money saving? yesterday - not all that much. Was quite an expensive day with all the travelling and such. We did take a packed lunch with us which i thought was quite good!

Today - used Homebase 20% off voucher to puppy proof the garden, buying some of that willow screening stuff. I need another one though so might have to go back again tomorrow.

    - eating from storecupboard - although did go shopping!

Actually, am afraid nothing much money saving to report here.....

Tomorrow is a new day and a new month. New budget kicks in tomorrow too which is going to be really tough.

  • argh forgot about the no7 voucher - need dash back down town.

Sounds like youare all busy - Andan your list is v impressive!!!!

Hi to all of you lot..................everyone very busy.

DD and I hit charity shops and came away with several tops for her and me
Went to local old fashioned shop and bought some tatties and some whoopsies for 50p
DS and I just walked dogs on beach and retrieved darwin (camper van)
Took Dawin for a run and washed him (£4 but he's so covered in salt) and it was a laugh with the boy child
Looking into renting out said camper in summer, couple pals have asked if they can borrow him for a 'fee' need think about it.
Load of washing in for poor stranded lodger
Two loads actually drying as we speak on line - mind you its a hurricane out there (slight exaggeration)
Recycled rice made last week into tomato and onion risotto scoffed that at lunch
    Checked banks
    Paid a bit to CC
Changed phone contract to minimum and transferred phone to DS
Advertise my sony one on ebay just foudn the box and the papers for it
Took out a new contract (??!!!!???) for myself via quidco for a new iphone (whispering this so you don't notice) - phone cost £90 something - got £100 cash back from quidco - so technically I hope I am actually kinda £7 up - well thats what I am tellinG myself :)
Got some shallots, onions in town and about to go start them off in plugs

Thats me thus far I think must go Boots - will look into the gift idea thing.

Ta chaps - waving to newbie and not so newbies - will say proper hellos later on xxx

Juggling babies - is that babies that juggle or someone being silly?
