This is my first time posting on this thread, so bear with me :)

Today, I have (or will) :

    - done daily scratchies - 2 x 10p
    - checked online banking
    - sort some more stuff for ebay
    - pack up and send the items sold on ebay (x 4)
    - made £2 PAD to A&L card
    - done all daily clicks
    - make sausage casserole in slow cooker
    - placed online shopping order (no impulse purchases!)
    - checked survey sites
    - get stuck into grim housework
    - write cheque to pay rent

    YAY !
    :j
Aiming to be debt-free, and have my degree, by 50 ! :j
  • -Taken loads of stuff I'd left at my exs like cooking basics so I now have flour, sugar etc and plastic pots, ice cube tray. Decided to stop leaving useful stuff at homes when I leave them as I loose so much stuff that way!!
    - Looked through the three cookbooks I'd left at ex's and regained and picked 5 recipies to use up my load of eggs etc and teach me some new stuff.
    - Gone through my frozen meals from my batch cooking, added my HM steak and kidney pie to the stash and now have 9 meals to get me through the week.
    - Written a shopping list and am about to go shopping and fingers crossed I stick to it!
    - Used the teapot I nicked back from my ex and the tea I found from long ago (still in date for another 9 months) and made a pot of tea as opposed to my usual one cup :)
    - When going shopping I'm going to pick up my free food sample from graze.com, I cancelled future orders so got it free!! plus 40 piggy points.
    - I'm going bingo tonight with a friend to cheer her up rather then for a night out. So hopefully will win ;) but if not I'll still save a good £30-40 compared to my usual night out! I'm also going to bring my homemade brownie and we can nibble them rather then being tempted.

Really please with my day off so far. I also need to do two loads of laundry, loads of tidying, start to photo some ebay stuff, transfer my numbers to my new cheaper phone (sim only rather then contract, saving me £15 a month plus need to ebay old phone) and fill out some forms for work this weekend so best be off to get busy :)

  • Good afternoon all, ive jsut come back from my free gym trail and town, i didn’t like the gym at all! I only did 5mins on the rower then decided ooh yuk too many people and snottyness! So i went and got a free herbal tea and read the Saturday papers in the “relaxation” area! Lol
I did spend after that some pennies in the Turkish bakery on treats and m and s on treats and a French stick to go with dinner. And got a new hat and top with student discount in the sale in millets. The top is outrageoursly patterned but will keep me so warm.....its a 13-14 year olds and im 26!!! Thats how tiny i am!! lol
So a £20 pound spend for me today! And donated a 10 pound off voucher to a person in staples when you spend £25. Good karma i thought. I wasn’t going to use it as didn’t see anything worth getting.

OMG my essay over now ! Happy weekender to you all, regulars and newbies...rest of today i am....

Hehe, yeah Bingo isn't 100% my cup of tea but it's to cheer up a friend so we'll have a giggle. I've never won much though did witness someone winning 250K on the national thingy!

I'm thinking carrot cake, and also making flamenco eggs (this savory thing with eggs, spices and peppers) so that will sort out some of my stash. I bought 15 for £2 free range in ASDA and was pleased with the price, have 12 left with sell by date of 14th.

And good for you giving your voucher away :T :) I always give my coupons to friends and family but would be too shy to offer it to a stranger :)

  • Hi everyone
Absolutely nothing DFW about the YBs household today

 Been shopping with OH - it's worse than going with the DSs! The amount of stuff that just 'fell' into the trolley!

 Also went to the butchers - v nice meat but quite pricey. No need to shop for rest of week at least though

 Hokey cokey underway but we have so much it's hardly DFW - and I am using the TD :o

Going for a walk this afternoon before we potentially get frozen in ! I suppose that is a bit DFW

    See you all later/soon

    Hi Guys
Eventually ended up with 3 no 7 vouchers as was offered another by lady in boots who couldn't see anything she wanted - nice lady:D
Picked up two of the sets of no 7 make up brushes - had to put £2.83 to each of those and also picked up another nail varnish for £1.12, but as this had taken me over the £18 threshold I qualified for one of the free no 7 gifts - lovely make up bag with about 9 no 7 products in worth £31:j so was well happy with my bargains:D

If anyone else gets one of these gift bags there is also a 250 point coupon inside(against any no 7 skincare product) - so take it out before you use for a pressie;)
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Today I have/will
    1. Take breakfast and lunch to work
    2. Have a NSD (except travel pass covered by monthly budget)
    3. Drink free tea and coffee at work
    4. check online banking
and that's about it! Not very exciting.

Today when I bought my travel pass I did notice that it had gone up by £2.50 per month. There was a time when I wouldn't have noticed! That's an extra £25 per year. total costs for traveling to and from work now £1164 per year

Hello Everyone and welcome to Newbies

Having a chilled out day today as Pip being a good baby and OH off.

Pink socks with coloured spots on today! ( Anybody new must REALLY wonder why we all discuss our socks!!:rotfl:)

    This weekend I have/will:
    • Placed an order with Approved foods, realised after some things said out of stock so not sure what will happen with that any ideas?
    • Had some coupons for Daily Mail half price and it also said if I have another 6 weeks of half price vouchers they will also send me £50 of M+S vouchers!! I have looked and looked for the catch but really cant see one.
    • Washing hokey cokey at 30
    • Going to make some dinners for freezer to make next week easier, thinking caseeroles and shepherds pies.
    • Daily Scratches
    • Surveys, so close to getting a Toluna voucher I can almost smell it!!
    • Sit and work out my months budget and update the live on £4000 challenge thread and signature.
    • Thinking about what items to stockpile for when I am no longer receiving any maternity pay and how best to get them cheap. Items like toiletries, loo rolls, cleaning bits and tinned foods.
    • Hand write invites for Pips Naming Ceremony rather than pay £100 for printed ones.
    • Type menus for the above and print them myself rather than pay venue to do it (cheeky so and so`s)
Thats it for now, sure I will think of other things.
REALLY want to know what Fayjmcks confession is!!!

Pipsmum re stockpile, do a search on the old style board as lots of people on there were giving me tips on what was best to stockpile due to the economic climate. Would tell you myself but haven't had a proper look yet.

They have some great tips on there, especially on the things are tough now thread.

nice to see you on here by the way, despite juggling the baby!
