    Morning All

    My list for today includes

    wash at 30
    dry on airer
    plan meals for week
    check online banking
    online surveys
    start £2 coin collection for XMAS:eek:

    Hope you all have a fab Saturday:j
  • I've received a letter from our property managers telling me my account is £27 in credit (woo hoo!);
    I've checked my financial files to discover that I only have 2 more months making overpayments on those nasty council tax arrears (in 2 months time I'm going to be £120 a month better off when this debt is cleared!!!);
    Checked Pigsback and I'm 70 points away from a reward voucher;
    Read a financial article and the BoE base is expected to change again so holding off making the call to the RBoS about my remortgage (it's not due until 1st April, but if the RBoS rate changes, I'll set the wheels in motion);
    May put a jacket on Ebay today (aye ok I definitely will!) Should make a tenner.
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Morning everyone,
    Thank heaven it is the weekend at last!

    So far I have:
    checked online banking
    done mealplans for week
    written shopping list from mealplans (just the bits i don't already have in plus some bread, milk, loo rolls etc).
    Washed filthy kitchen floor:eek:

    This weekend I will:
    clean out chooks.
    finish cleaning house using products I already have.
    Shopping, first at Aldi, then (for what I can't get there, plus Saturday paper) at Sainsburys.
    Stick to mealplans, using up food I already have in. OH is out tonight so just omelette and salad for me - good for waistline as well as moneysaving. DD and her BF will no doubt turn up for Sunday roast tomorrow.
    Give range cooker an extra special clean as I have the service engineer coming out on Tuesday - not MS, but needs to be done - can't be too careful with gas, and one of the ovens is not working quite as it should.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!

    Morning All :hello: It is bright and cold here today, with snow forecast for tomorrow and early next week. So I'm back to thick woolly grey socks :o
    And I had a lie in this morning and have woken with a frightful headache and a list of heavy furniture moving/loft filling work :rolleyes2 DS2 hasn't arrived, so I phoned him, he'd overslept too, so won't be here for 1 1/2 hours :eek: and this is for HIS room :mad:

    So today I have/will:
    • done my on-line banking, and saddo that I am, I'm really looking forward to the end of Feb when the figures will be SO tidy, as another cc bites the dust :D :j
    • Scratched -25p :D
    • thanks for the reminder-I'll go and spend my Boots voucher :D (How do they make money when they keep giving £5's away and so many of us then spend £5 + pence? :rotfl: )
    • Washing sheets, so at 60, but will line dry as it is sunny and blowy - nothing beats the smell of garden dried fresh sheets :D
    • Not DFW for me, but when Lodger talked about claiming unexpired TV licence for her Mum, who is now in a nursing home. I told her she should not have been paying for one for YEARS - her Mum is well into her 70's. Does anyone know if you can claim back overpaid TV licences? And when did the free-for-over-70's licence start?
    • Quiz night tonight -£10 for supper out :D and as I'm driving 50p for a large glass of juice is a great bargain :D
    Have a great day everyone.

    Congrats Urg :heart:
  • hi everyone :hello:

    Well, today is going to be a good dfw one for me... my sky+ has broken so no vegging in front of sky sports for me! :rotfl:

    • have put some coins in the big bud bottle
    • sorted both our budgets for Feb
    • I'll meal plan and make some soups with veggies that need to be used up... I love that Gill Holcombe "how to feed your family" cookbook!

    Hello!!

    Wishing a great weekend to everyone. I am intending to have as relaxing one as is possible with 4 year old.

    Routine tasks for both days:

    - scratchies
    - racecaller
    - curly
    - cash back bingo

    And then on top doing meals from storecupboard, making sandwiches to the freezer for lunches, get veggie soup into SC, washing mostly on 30 and drying on airer, continue sorting books, taking dog and DD out for a walk to get her tired and perhaps even get her to have a little nap before the tired tantrum starts at 4 pm.

    Oh and of course update my spreadsheets to end of Jan and post result in £4k thread tomorrow.
