Some people doing jobs earn good money

So what is the point of the OP exactly?

    My thoughts precisely.

I think it was an unintelligent attempt to try and wind up, what he refers to as, the "thought police" with some barely disguised inferred racism.

I wasn't even going to waste my time responding until I saw your post.

    Easy-peasy (and true) :

    1. stop in the middle of a busy roundabout ensuring you block all traffic
    2. then jump out of the cab with delivery notes in hand
    3. go up to people in turn waving the delivery notes at them, pointing at delivery address
    4. repeat until someone gesticulates "you follow me, I take you"
    5. follow kind helper
    6. job done

I'd like to think Tesco has more pride in its reputation than to allow this to happen too often (think of the adverse publicity!) so either it would give him an unmarked lorry or it would be for a smaller haulage firm. In any case he'd have to have some sort of link to the UK in order to have a work permit anyway, so chances are he'd know at least some English.

I always say "who am I going to call when you collapse ;)?" I always try to do the venflons and bloods and we will all try to do it before we call the Drs because we know how busy you are.

This may sound dumb to you, but what are venflons?

They're the cannula (needles) that go into the back of your hand or your arm that we use to give you intravenous medication. Venflon is the make.

Yeah that's about right if the overnight pay is included in that and especially if he's based down South. I bet he's working max daily hours for it though (ie. 3x 15hr shifts + 2x 13s), that's what most trampers do.

Yes he works something like that, if he was this thread, he would be along to 'debate' the subject at great length!!!:rotfl: inc digital tacko, waiting times, etc etc

my OH is a lorry driver. yes hours are restricted due to H&S [ and rightly so IMO] but its driving hours not waiting hours so I guess if theres a lot of waiting to be loaded/unloaded then the pay can add up.
My OH pay, inc OT is £18,000 a year.
If the Tesco bods are earning more than double that then somethings wrong somewhere.

I loved the underlying racism and the challenge for people to pull him up on it. I like a good challenge and I'll pull you up on this Conrad. Basically you're indulging in a bit of racist trolling. There, hope you're happy.

Note for next troll session. If you could use a Turkish Lesbian Muslim Asylum Seeking Benefit Scrounger next time, you would cover so many more hate bases and get a much stronger reception to your OP.

    Good luck with that.
