Hi new to this thread - thanks to everyone for all the inspirations it has motivated me to go through all my cupboards and find out what meals I can plan for this week. So here goes:-
Sun:- Liver & Sausage Casserole With boiled potatoes & broccoli
Mon:- Bacon & mushroom soup with tagliatelle
Tues:- Pizza & Chips & salad (niece is coming for tea)
Weds:- Chilli & rice
Thurs:- Shepherd pie & frozen peas
Fri:- stuffed Peppers with Mozarella cheese topping
sat:- Rump steak & roast potatoes & vegetables (frozen)
I have also worked out that I have got enough for part of next week too just may need some potatoes and fresh veg & salad
Sun:- Gammon Joint with roasts and veg
Mon:- Chicken Curry with Jacket Potato
Tues:- Spaghetti Bolognese
Wed:- Beef in ale casserole with mash & veg
Thurs:- Lasagne & Chips & Salad
Fri:- Chilli & Rice
all meals are homemade with the exception of the Lasagne which I got from Tesco (finest range) which I froze.
Its amazing when you go through your cupboards the amount of food that you actually find - I am not going to go shopping now until I have used up most of my freezer contents and I am going to make a list of things I use regularly and need to stock up on so that I never run out - ie tinned tomatoes etc.
The money that I have saved from not going shopping this week and what I save from next week I will use to stock up on store cupboard items and toiletries also washing powder.
Good luck everyone xxxDMP starting 1/3/09 - thanks to CCCS & MSEI am now proud to be dealing with my debts!Big thanks to everyone on the DMP Mutual Support Threadyour support has inspired me to get this sorted once and for all xx0 -
Ohhh sorry forgot to add - tomorrow I am going to make a huge pan of leek and potato soup and also a pan of brocolli soup -( sounds horrid but is lovely) and I am going to freeze some of it and have soup for dinner at least 3 days a week.
