thanks - but well done to the OP as well, she had managed to find an older couple who sound ideal, and I think if the potential pain issues (arthritis/hips) are sorted too she will be much happier in a quieter home. If not, there is a rescue place for her as back up.
    :T :T
    Well done OP too.
Hope you feel ok. Sad I'm sure but best all round. xx

Please FC, keep us all informed.

Aww im glad she has found a home :)

I was going to say that she probably senses that she is no longer wanted at the OP's home and that might also contribute to her poo problem. Also with kennels she probably thought she was gonna be left there forever.

I hope she is happier in her new home

    Hi all,

Molll went to her new home on Tuesday afternoon. I phoned the couple last night and they said she was fine, no bother, took her out and the rest of the time she just lazed about. They've had no agression or poo problems. They are already talking fondly about her so I hope it works out.

Much thanks to foreign correspondant, and the rest of you.

So pleased she has found a new home, I will keep my fingers crossed that she will continue to settle in well. Although if the new owners knew that there had been problems and still wanted her I am sure that they will be willing to put the work in if anything does crop up. I think it is hard to mix a dog with a young family and you have done what was in the dog's best interests.

I am sure she will be much happier in her new home as I think dogs are quite intuitive and she will know that this is a good move for her.
Thank you for keeping us posted after what has been a difficult thread, it is a sensitive topic but it is nice to hear a happy ending :j

  • Whew ... thank goodness she's got a good home. I did wonder if the poo problem was stress ... let's face it, most older dogs want a nice quiet life at their age!!

Am so glad things have worked out nicely for the dog ... and let's hope the initial encouraging signs of her having settled in continue and she enjoys a nice, loving home for the rest of her years.

lynnexxxo can i offer some advice

please don't think about getting another pet, no matter how cute and cuddly they seem (you know they grow up like kids), you obviously have your hands full and with another on the way. I wouldn't want to see you in the pets section wanting help and advice on a pet you just got. (that sounds nasty i know, but prioritise, stick to children for now)

wait until the kids are a lot older and you have more patience and time.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
