Do you know how long T Mobile are going to keep these "introductory" Flext tariffs for?

Not sure, but Carphone WH are currently doing this deal - depending on what phone you opt for you can get up to 15 months (from 18 month contract) 1/2 price line rental - that means for the 15 months £17.50 for up to 900 x network minutes - better than 3.

I've just signed up but have found I get really dire T-mobile network coverage for where I live - so a bit disappointing!

Also T-mobile don't allow a 14 days cooling off period if you sign up with a CPW or the like - I think they offer 7 days if you buy direct from T-mobile.

Look for my thread on Flext 35 / £16 something a month with D600 (The Link online). Best deal on the net so far.

With regard to 14 day cooling off, this is to do with the networks tightening up on customer lockdowns. However they can't break distance trading laws and have to offer a cooldown on mail orders i.e. T Mobile direct, CPW direct. So that is why T Mobile offer 7 days cooldown ONLINE but not instores. You may notice they offer 14 day replacement too where you can still swap your phone but locked into contract.

Just thought I point out that a great deal can be had on O2, if you prefer to have O2 coverage instead of T-Mobile. Might not be the best phones, but you can always sell - and they only 12 months contracts!

But....its only available to new customers 'new connections', so as an existing T-Mobile customer coming to the end of a contract I dont believe it is open to me. Shame it sounds great value.

excuse the ignorance but how do you do that?

Would i likely have any joy by talking to T-Mobile and asking to leave but would be tempted to remain a loyal customer if they transfered me on to a FlexT tarriff?...and gave me a new Nokia N70 of course!!

I have no experience with T Mobile, but I'm moving from Orange to them next week.

If they are treating you as an existing customer and not offering you the deal, i doubt saying anything else will help. ( I am assuming you have tried phoning them and asking )

So just phone up, say you are leaving and want your PAC code. Port your number to Orange PAYG and once complete, phone up Orange for the PAC code. You are now an orange customer and can approach T Mobile for new customer deals, while keeping your number.

If you don't want to keep your number, life is even easier. Just sign up as a new customer and let the old contract expire.
