I wish! I actually think they'd lock me in the house and not let me leave till they'd humiliated me! Someone from work said they'd come over with me if I wanted to, so think we'll do that later on.

But thanks again for the advice!

yeah they will have ago but so what just let it go in one ear and out the other, whilst they are having ago just keep thinking of the good time ahead you and your partner will be having soon. Good for you for being tougher and planning on going to get it of them, let us all know how it goes.

This in itself is a criminal offence. I you go over there (and I really hope you do) make sure you have someone with you and a mobile. Call the police if necessary and don't take no stick.

And just remember it's nothing but words. They can hurl abuse all they want buts it's not going to get you back with your first GF.

And please don't split up with your current GF over this. You're not a failure you just aren't comfortable with confrontation. Many people are like this so you are hardly unusual.

    Hope you get it sorted.

Op arranged hols with her new partner.
Ex has given passport to her dad (think he lives near op).
Wont return it - op afraid to collect it.
Op ditched current partner as felt useless.
In hindsight, op should have sorted this sooner.
Current ex is in Ireland but doesn't want to split.
Op miserable - surely she can collect from ex's father with friend in tow for moral support?

Very confusing. sorry no bullet points

I don't have a passport, however I'm on my way to the airport now for five days in Ireland with my current gf. Hence being up at such a stupid time!

Thank you everyone for your advice!
