Im sorry to be harsh and blunt but stop being a wimp and go and get your passport. Make it clear it is over between you and your ex and you want nothing to do with her.

You not going for your passport and missing your holiday will show her that she has control over you.

If you can't face upto that phone the police.

Get off your a$$ and do something.

Why didnt you try and get your passport until now? You should have got it when yous split up

i agree by doing nothing about it but whining your not helping anyone get off your a$$ and do something or roll over and accept you gave up!!

OP - this situation is completely in your hands to rectify if you want to. As other people have told you, you can get your passport by calling the police.
As for the new girlfriend - you are treating her even worse than your ex is treating you. What a ridiculous thing to dump her over - completely uncalled for. I feel really sorry for her.

Perhaps there could be a nicer way to phrase this to someone who is feeling a bit low? Everyone can only do what they can do. I do think that you give excellent advice about dealing with the girlfriend holding the passport, and thus still having a form of control over the OP.

just go round there with a mate and get it, you still have time before losing your holiday, dont bother trying to contact them just go there and get it and bear with the aggression you may get, and smile to yourself inside as you know you and your partner will be away from them very soon.
