Honest - RIGHT click on it while it's greyed out (it says disabled in red there too doesn't it?) and from the menu there is an option to 'make this work' or something like that.
It is there and it does work. Don't forget you have to restart FF too

The Make Compatible option is part of the Nightly Tester Tools extension. You install that and it edits extensions to think they're compatible.
It usually works because extensions are often compatible but just haven't been labeled as working for the new version number 0 -
There is an enable option but that's greyed out too
Cheers that worked had to enable both and restart a couple of times but now works. Cheers guys0 -
