Wow, very busy on here already today!

Interesting wedding ideas MrsA,am sure the guests will love it.

Oliveoyl, what a pain, especially being charged just because you forgot to pay off the 10p, i hate it when that happens.

Lurleene well done for making it to pay day without over spending, its tougher than it sounds.

Urg, so lovely to hear from you, i was thinking about you the other day and how it wasn't quite the same without your posts. Glad your having a lovely time in Egypt.

So very happy for you on your engagement, what a romantic OH, am sure you will never forget this now. Lucky you!

Lily, glad they have waved the £50 summons fee.

Lilian, well done on your win and even nicer that you gave it to a friend.

Sarah999 nice to see you back and back full time.

Skint student nurse, sorry to hear about your relationship break up, even though these things can be on the cards they are still usually very difficult, after all you are losing someone who has been a part of your life for a long time. Hope you work through it and come out stronger.

Big hello to all the newbies, nice to see you on here and reaping the benefits.

Hope you have had a great day for your birthday sans and enjoyed yourself.

Gosh that took ages doing the hello's and reading through the thread. Nice to get back to my list! However its much nicer that i finally don't have anything to do for the rest of the day, which makes a change as i have been busy every day and night this week.

    So my list:
    -Have looked for mystery shops
-Have been to work for my pennies
-Have done a mystery shop where i got to buy free food
-Picked up lots of bargains in mystery shop food store
-Bought some reduced cutters for baking
-Posted lovely parcel to OH whilst i was there, rather than having to drive out to another post office
-I will do my daily scratch cards
    -No heating on till later
-Will sort out towels etc for tomorrow
-Sort out all massage equipment for treatments tomorrow
-Have phoned client up to see how they feel after previous treatment
-Load up car with massage gear
-Had lunch from the meal i prepared yesterday
-Took snacks out with me rather than buying them whilst i was out

-Work through some of 300 emails
    -Do some surveys

    -Write up mystery shopping report
    -Update spreadsheets
-Scan shopping with shop and scanner
    -Sort out tomorrow's mystery shops

-Sort out gym bag ready for going to the gym tomorrow afternoon in prep for race for life and using free membership
    -Text friends using free texts
    -Make tea from storecupboards
    -check online banking
    -move money around accordingly
-Put lose change in sealed pot
    -Tidy bedroom
-Check business emails and web site optimisation
    -Update blog

    -Read fave threads
-Sort out diary for next week
-Look for cheap travel to London
    -Look for cheap theatre tickets

-Sort through all post and financial papers lying around
-Continue using up old beauty products
-Make notes for counselling session 4
    -Work on website changes
-Check ebay for cheap spa day
-Sort out finances and what i have left owing
    -Check freecycle
    -Check freebie section

-Sort out free dental treatment forms
-Do review of goals for 101 challenge
-Try and get booked on yoga class
-Fill up more bottles with cheap pop
-Do three loads of washing on 30 and using less soap powder than recommended
-Hang on coat hangers so they dry quicker and hang in airing cupboard and on airer instead of radiators as that costs more money!

Have a great afternoon and evening everyone and thank goodness its friday!

happy birthday sans! :bdaycake: and congrats to urg:smileyhea

big hugs to everyone who is not having such a great day :grouphug:

well today has not been very productive due to oh being in such pain last night that neither of us slept well (despite him taking massive amounts of morphine).

    so far today:
    - avon is sorted ready for delivery tonight
    - approved foods order arrived (and is now evenly distributed around living room!!)
    - man came to see us about insulation and we cannot have cavity wall because our cavity is not big enough  . but we can have loft insulation so we are on the list!
    - did lodgers URGENT washing (only has one pair of not work trousers) and he is out with the lads tonight :rotfl:
    - normal postman is on holiday so i re-delivered half the streets post (this guy cannot read  )
    - have ordered lodger a watch with the payout from my insurance claim - after being burgled i really don't want any jewellrey as it just reminds me and i have managed since march '08 without any. lodger will give me cash for watch which will be used towards re-pointing the house :T
    - going to cook chicken casserole in a moment
    - got to go up loft and assess what i can do with all the stuff  - i may really have to investigate e-bay properly...
    - put cats outside for 2hrs today - saves on cat litter!

that be about it for today - may make popcorn and watch dvd tonight

    love to all
    loki x
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

Princess loki, sorry to hear about OH not being so good and that neither of you got much sleep, lets hope tonight is a better night.

Yorkshire belle, thanks for your kind thoughts, not missing him too much today, am trying to focus on the positive and get lots done before he comes back so that i can get my priorities right and start spending some quality time with him again. However i am sure i will find the weekend tough going though especially sunday as i am home doing lots of work on sunday and not going out anywhere. But thanks once again for your kind wordsxx

Just wanted to update about my weekly shop today.

Went to a new Sainsbury's (it was very sparkly) and only bought what was on my list plus the birthday present for a party tomorrow that my dd is going to.

For a family of 4, including a giant pack of nappies (9.98), the present (£13 incl wrapping and cards) plus washing stuff and kitchen cleaner it came to a grand total of £76. Had I not bought the nappies (not needed next weekend now cos got big pack) and pressie, i would only have spent £53 :j :j

I';m getting the hang of this now.

My DH also had a go on the phone with a former leccy supplier who had tried to charge us twice for some leccy (over 1000 units  ) and they have accepted their mistake and are sending us a cheque to cover the over charge (about £90 i think), and we have a dispute registered with another fuel company who refused to accept our meter reading and said their "deemed reading" was 11000 units less than ours when we moved in (thats an extra £1000 they are trying to charge us (we only moved in in November!!!)) - we have the figures on our lease so we are on pretty solid ground. Robbing swines!!

Its Friday, i'm broke almost but i'm feeling a bit cheerier to day.

You all make me feel so much better xx

Hi all, just nipping in quickly because I have to get ready to actually go out with my OH tonight! A very rare occurence nowadays, so I am really looking forward to it - we are meeting up with some friends at a comedy club.
    1) Daily scratch x 10p
    2) Bought T a few pairs of PJ bottoms for 25p. ( He actually needs some). And some sparkly socks for me for 10p so I can join in!
    3) I had an absolutely fabulous Boots shop - got enough herbal essences (finally) to last B til kingdom come and a load of N07 stuff for my Mum's bday and more points back than I spent ( £14), so very chuffed with that one.
    4) Made up a batch of soup using scraggy veg from the fridge.
    5) Online survey
    6) Washing hokey-cokey
    7) Getting a lift tonight, so no taxi - although the rest of the night may not be very DFW. But sod it!

Off to catch up with the thread - have a good evening! L x
  • Yesterday not today but it's cleared today so that counts.

Paid off my credit card, means I'm going to be skint this month but it's so nice to hear that "balance is zero" when I ring telephone banking! Overdraft is going to come down slowly but that's fine as it's interest free, as is the flights money because that's what I owe my friend.

First time my credit card has been zero in almost two years *eep*

Congratulations on getting your cc to zero - just hope you dont rack up a massive phone bill coz you keep on phoning them to hear it be said again, and again, and again :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Do you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? - I know I did when it go to that wonderful figure:D
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
