I use a combination of paperless banking and scanned documents. I upload scanned copies of all statements to online storage sites such as mybloop.com.
All original documents are shredded.
Proliant - am not sure how PDF protection works, but you might prefer to encrypt the files using PGP rather than rely on a simple application-level password. Same goes for sql if someone has account access.You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

I have an indexed folder and I keep all my statements from various companies in them from my bank to Virgin Media and my mobile0

I shred my statments iv signed up for paperless statments.When statment is ready to view online banking.The bank emails you.I find this methoud a much safer way of banking.:A :A :A :A :A :A :A
Over 1000 pound in debt.
To many red letters.
Welfare Rights helped me out.
Now I pay a little amount each month to clear debt.

I have a big folder with all my random sh*t in it. I sleep safe in the knowledge that should an identity fraudster somehow gain access to it, they'll break down and cry at my poor organisational skills before they can do much damage.0

Not a fan of online/paperless statements as there are still a few mortgage lenders out there that have an issue with them so can cause a problem/delay when it comes to getting a mortgage.I am a Financial Adviser.

I'm not sure why people keep bank statements if they are not self employed and if they check their banking is correct monthly online?
If you were applying for a mortgage you can ask you bank for copies of any statements you might need.
I have opted for paperless banking but my bank stil sends me a paper copy monthly for some reason but I just shred it straight away as I check my banking on line most days anyway so I know whats going on.
I do keep wage slips for 12 mths though, not sure why but I do?
I also shred all utility bills as soon as the next bill comes in so I only ever have 1 copy of each bill till at a time.
I keep all insurance certificates in a metal box file along with any guarantees, birth certificates and passports.
Any pension and endowment info I keep in a folder that has dividers to separate them.
And I have no idea why I told you all that after the OP was asking about bank statements lol.. I suppose it was to point out I don't keep much at all as I don't see the point as long as I shred everything?0 -
