whats a pdf and a sql?
Sorry, PDF is "Portable Document Format" you can limit what happens to it i.e. prevents copying; printing and even password protect the document.
SQL is "Structured Query Language", it is how we as humans can talk to a database and ask it for information.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I notice that you work in IT. Any chance of writing a program for me based on SQL that might help me communicate with my 15 year old son? ;)
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

I keep mine with lots of other moderately important things (bills, payslips, letters I need to keep, exam certificates, etc) in a big A4 ringbinder. I don't think many banks will give you a file to keep them in any more.

I keep mine in a secure underground vault in a secret jungle location, protected by fiendish traps involving poison darts, large boulders etc.

I use a combination of paperless banking and scanned documents. I upload scanned copies of all statements to online storage sites such as mybloop.com.

    All original documents are shredded.

    why is this?

I get most stuff online - otherwise it is just a hassle storing things
