Same here. My store said it had 3 in stock (on line) when I went into the store sa gave me a funny look and said they had no xmas stuff let.

Yep - that just happened to me.

Internet stock check said they had the 8' tree and a few packs of outside lights left as of 1.40pm today at the Mold store (no online reservation available there), so I shot off up there to get them.

After a wander round the store I asked a chap where all the Christmas chuck-outs were - he said they'd all been "sent back"!

The chap behind the counter checked his computer - by the look on his face I'm sure it said the individual items were in stock too! I was a bit miffed but having worked in retail myself I didn't shout or swear - still there was no apology forthcoming - pretty poor show all round really.

In hindsight I suppose it would have been better to ring ahead and check, but being part of the same chain as Argos you expect them to be on the ball.

Luckily there is an Aldi round the corner, so I was able to go and stock up on some soya milk and nice German beer (there was no soya out on the shopfloor, but a very helpful (and pretty) young lady found a box in the warehouse and bought it out for me - look and learn Homebase, look and learn!)

    I'm not happy either.

Last night I was able to reserve a tree for collection at my local store. It was showing that they had 3 left. However, the store rang me up this morning to say that they had no trees at all. They have sent them all back to the central warehouse and there is no way of getting them back.

Thumbs down to Homebase and their lousy website!

<snipped>The tree was there, I saw it. I pointed to it and said "That's my tree"

Tried to order some lights and a 6ft white tree. The tree is out of stock at the checkout as is a large reindeer light thing. The other lights, do I really need them!!
Also tried to reserve a tree in Stirling, I will expect the call in the morning then telling me ther are none!!!
Money is only of any use if you can spend it!

I managed to order a few Bits and bobs last night for home delivery, the cofirmation page said that they had received my order and would send a confirmation email and that it might take a few hours in busy times. Im still waiting.... has anyone else got a confirmation email?

Yeah, but as it turned out they thought otherwise despite the Post-It note on top. How could it be out of stock/no more in the shop/not there at all when it was sitting there in front of me, grrh??? I personally belive that there's plenty around but they're just telling you all that there's not, just to avoid having to sell them or go through the whole "website price error" story.

Incidentally I got my sister to try reserving the same tree at the same shop tonight. She got her confirmation email just fine and so far no one has emailed her to cancel, three hours on. (She did not give her phone no.) I also note that the stock level has fallen from 8 last night to 5 tonight. So someone is buying them, and I don't belive the store has had a sudden rush on £68.00 Christmas trees in January, mmm???

Yes, I got a confirmation email almost straight away. But I won't believe it until it arrives!

Call me cynical, but it's 20% off for Friends and Family of Homebase this weekend, are they being held back for them?
