Thanks for that...I didn't want such a big tree but I did find almost exactly the one I did want (6' pre-lit) for £8.80 reduced from £68.49. And in stock in my local store!

So...where can I find this 20% off code, svp?

Thanks for the heads up - I just reserved the same one! We were saying when we took our tree down this year that (thanks to our new kitten) we'd need a new one next year ... this one is excellent!

  • I have phoned round all the stores in the Sheffield and Chesterfield area and although stock of the pre lit 6ft tree is showing on the internet the stores all say they dont have any.

Is it worth going to the store on not?

I'm finding the same as the above poster - we reserved one (going to try and pick it up tomorrow), but my nan went today and said there wasn't a single Christmas tree there!

I found the same thing. My parents need a new tree (the legs broke on the old one and it has gone to the great forest in the sky ;)) I took my dad to a store that said there should be a total of 4 of the two ones he liked. I was told quite rudely that they had no stock left and despite also asking customer services if they would check other stores they refused and said I was wasting my time.

When we got back my dad tried to order the one that said it was still in stock for delivery and got right past the securecode part of the payment details before it decided they weren't in stock. Three hours later and they are still showing as instock on their website.

I have sent them an email "pointing out their inadequacies in both systems" and asking if it was actually possible to find out if the trees exist or not. Wonder if I will get a reply.

Not happy with DIY stores this week, still waiting for my promised refund from B&Q's zanussi dishwasher error.

I ordered two, one for conservatory and one for sitting room as such bargains. Same as you, went right past Securecode bit, then it said only one was in stock (the white one) but green one for sitting room out of stock despite still showing in stock.

I therefore phoned Customer Services (who threw me as they answered the phone with what sounded like 'Argos') who said that this meant that they were out of stock in the warehouse that covered my area, but must be in stock in other warehouses as an explanation. Pity they cannot transfer them between warehouses - too simple I suppose. She did say that anyway the Chrissie trees were becoming very thin on the forest floor, stock-wise, now.

violetta :( - happy about one that will arrive though, only 13.50 delivered

Just had a wasted journey to Homebase too!

Despite showing the product in stock last night, the CS woman told me that they hadn't had any Xmas stock in for ages.

Checked again when I got home-the last stock update was at 1.18pm today...showing as instock!

Exactly the same here! Which store? I went to the Worsley Manchester one and was told they had all been sent back to their warehouse. Got the SA to check the internet whilst i stood there to show her look - stock, but nope, no good.

Was understandably miffed as it was an absolute @r$e to find the store and i had my voucher all printed out aswell! Ah well, what can ya do?

    Really wanted that £8.80 pre-let 6ft tree that valk_scot mentioned :(

If ANYONE manages to get one, please let me know as they are so far phantoms!
