Tine, write lots of notes and make sure they don't back you into any corners... I'm terrible for coming out of things thinking 'should of said that'...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    afternoon ladies,

a bit of a late posting for me.

MFD - hope you are off enjoying your bath. i am taking it easy i promise.

    hugs to all that need.

MrsT - sorry you are starting to have so much trouble.

AM - I agree with you, i would be furious. I am fairly quite, but I am expecting that to change when I have a baby and become very protective.

I ended up back at the Day Assessment Unit as two + of protein this time and high BP again. When I got up there, BP went back to normal range and no protein.

bubs was monitored and all is well there.

back up there start of next week for another check and blood results.

as i have hit 36 weeks today without any problems, i can't complain.

i am at work but taking things easy. not sleeping the best so am knackered.

the midwives were lovely yesterday and made me laugh when she said bub was head down as he has 'found his exit'.
  • I am out of the bath and just about to go and stick a note on my front door asking the 'postman' to leave our post in the porch and not put it through into the house.

I know damn well that it is our stoopid nosy neighbours that come into the porch and post it through but this may be an easy way to get them to stop...before I get so upset by it that I kick off at them.

    Worth a try isn't it??

AF - are you eating properly now? And drinking lots of water?

That is out of order that they do that with your post. I would leave a note for the post man. Any chance you might catch him personally (thinking of lasooing him :rotfl: ) now that you might be in a bit more and having an actual word with him???

I am eating enough now i think as there hasn't been any ketones in my sample. not saying i am eating the best foods. I really need to sit down to a plate of vegetables!!!!!

Going for a mosey through town at lunch to pick up a few things and certainly wont be dashing around.

    Morning all :)

Feeling pretty bad today, supposed to be a happy day today, but just feel awful. Could cope with bad days alright before I got pregnant, but now I just feel incredibly guilty. OH isn't helping - I've ruined his day off work. No mention of me, or my birthday, or how I feel, just that I've ruined his day off to fetch his new car. Supposed to go visiting this weekend, really don't want to see my parents, definitely do not want to go to a blooming mental institute to visit his dad, and don't want to have to go and coo over a new baby.

And this is me being completely cured and ready for discharge?!
Sorry your feeling crap hun, Happy Birthday though xx

the doctor has given me a prescription for folic acid, im guessing i will have to pay for it as i dont have a maternity exemption cert yet? is it cheaper to buy it in boots?

I didn't have my exemption cert when I first needed a pg prescription - our chemists are pretty good - if its fairly likely pg related (eg iron/ folic acid etc) they just mark you as exempt anyway. Otherwise you could pay & then claim the fee back - but I'd try asking them if you can be marked as exmpt - folic acid only usually prescribed in early stages when you are unlikely to already have your exmption cert.

astonmummy, you are not over-reacting as she needs reminding of her responsibilites to the children she is looking after. But as a mum who works in a school I would want to sit down and get to the bottom of the comment with his teacher. I listen to what is said in the staffroom and some of the problems some children have getting on with others or behaviour. And yes every single child has a lovely side to them (I don't care if anyone says otherwise) and I have a soft spot for the particularily cheeky ones, the best characters. However he is obviosly very bright and you wouldn't want sovail problems to hold him back and believe me the teachers seem to think it can, they also never actually tell the parents the full extent of what goes on. When my son started (a character) I insisted that I am told everything, none of this 'contributes well / shouts out constantly, 'confident in play / bullies kids in the playground, works well independantly / doesn't get on with others. I'm afraid it's down to you to push for a completely honest account of his school day and then say right what are we going to do to sort it out. If they say he has social problems, what are they doing for him ie: small group work. Sorry if this sounds if I'm pushy but I just love kids to be happy and believe that school issues need sorting early on, and I hate to think that some members of staff may be talking about him, grrrrr!!!

Talking of school, been to my class assembly this morning, sneaked in the back as I'm off sick. The child I work with got up on stage and performed a quick dance, NEVER EVER did we think she would do this. I CRIED!:T

    Feelie, Happy Birthday!
    Aww thanks for that.
His school is actually brilliant IMO, they have been on top of his 'challenging behaviour' since day dot.
They have kept me informed of his behaviour good and bad, not just at parents evening but at regular intervals, I also ask at the end of ever week what his week has been like.
If he has a partiularily good day or bad day they tell me.
They are upfront and honest about him and are putting different tings into place to help him along, such as him having at least 10 mins one on one time just for that extra little bit of attention they think he's craving.
I'm happy and confident that he is not going to be written off as a naughty brat by his teachers, this girl obviously has never came accross DS before so doesnt really know what he's like day to day so in all honesty sod her
