I am at 26 weeks and still no exemption certificate..... any one know who I should chase for this? But I have just said to pharmacist that I am pregnant and they give me the prescriptions for free anyway.
EDIT: I have just found it lol
Pregnant women and those who have had a baby in the last 12 months get free:
NHS prescriptions, and
NHS dental treatment if you're pregnant when accepted for the course of treatment, or if you've had a baby up to 12 months before the treatment.
To entitle you to free prescriptions you must complete application form FW8 to get a Maternity Exemption Certificate. The form is available from your GP, midwife or health visitor. You can apply once your pregnancy has been certified by a GP or midwife, or any time during the 12 months following the birth of your baby.
The certificate will be valid from the first day of the month when the application is received until:
12 months after the expected date of the baby's birth, or
12 months after the baby's date of birth (if the baby's already been born).
If you need to pay for any prescriptions before you receive your certificate you may be able to claim a refund. Make sure you ask your pharmacist for the official NHS receipt, form FP57 (WP57 in Wales) when you pay.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Can I have some ideas for what to drink instead of wine on Monday night when OH is taking me out for a meal in a nice restaurant? I'm going to feel about 2 years old if I have a glass of lemonade or coke with my meal! What do other people do on special occasions? I'm only going to be 7+3 so don't want to risk a small amount of wine yet (if I ever do, the guidelines for my last 2 pregnancies were no alcohol at all so I've always stayed dry throughout though I know they've now changed to allow the odd glass of wine in the last two tris0

Nicki - I drink sparkling water when I'm out. With ice and a slice it is the only thing that makes me feel like I have got a 'grown up' drink!!
If I have coke or anything like that I drink it far too quickly, but I will sip at a sparkling water for ages.
Also, if you are in a nice restaurant you can often get a bigger bottle which will last you the night.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Grapefruit and sodaMFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740

I like the sound of grapefruit and soda - never heard of that before. We would usually order a bottle of sparkling water with a bottle of wine when we go out, so I think I might feel a bit deprived if that's all I could have with the meal! Am happy to have a mixer with nothing mixed for a pre-dinner drink though0

Why didn't he run?
Oops. gotta go school, back in a bit!
Searching, my lips have been dry pretty much the whole way through, gets on my wick too... Especially when I wake up in the morning and they're split right down the middle!
Nicki, I like a J2O mixed with soda... Find them too sweet on their own but a dash of soda makes them just right...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
