Look's like i'd better get practising with a buggy board hehe. I'm so jealous of you ladies with the sleek single prams!!
When my DD started walking confidently at 16 months she refused to sit in a buggy ever again !!!!!!The two best things I have done with my life

Nope never !!!
Had her on a harness for a couple of months, but she tugged at it so much, it was safer to let her walk on her own (holding my hand of course!!!)
It was very hard to do, more so for my MIL as she was her babysitter 2 days a week and she hated having to walk with her all the time, but she was a very independent child and would NOT do something she didnt want to !!! Just like her mum !!:D
Come to think of it, she still wont do what she doesnt want to !!!The two best things I have done with my life

Hi and congrats!niknaknoo1982 wrote: »Thanks, Am i a meany expecting a 2.5 yo to be out of a pram in time for new bubs arrival?
imo you aren't mean!
There was a 19month gap between our first 2. Our eldest was very strong willed (wonder where she gets that from?!) I sold the double after 11 months when I was utterly sure I could no longer face the battle of trying to get her in! I tried the buggy board tbh though I found it more hassle than just getting dd1 to walk alongside the buggy...
If you can for perhaps a month or so before the arrival of your little one I would use a single pram so that your 2 year old doesn't feel like s/he is being kicked out of the double buggy in place of the new arrival... a bit like they suggest if you are transferring an older child to a "big bed" so that the new arrival can use the cot.
I am so hoping the school is closed tomorrow, dh went out earlier and it was a bit hairy - he missed the drive tried to reverse back but just skated :rotfl: Even the milk lorries are going slowly  Wishful thinking on my part though the snow finally stopped about an hour ago...
tia - it took 3 weeks for me to get my scan appointment but that was down to a admin issue at the surgery...
Hope you all sleep well x0 -
Urgh, I feel so bad this morning
Went to bed to sleep off my headache but it didn't work and I woke up at 6.15am with an absolute stinker. I took paracetamol but before it really had chance to work I was sick - first time in ages!
Headache still there but no idea how much of the paracetamol got into me so don't want to take any more until half ten just in case.
AM, hope you're feeling better today!
MFD, enjoy your last week at work
Have a good day everyone!xxx

This is a very long thread and so Im sure its full of people who are experts in all things to do with pregnancy. My DIL is just 5 weeks pregnant, our first grandchild, 30 years ago I got free dental care and I think free prescribtions is this still the case and can she claim anything else? she has a low paid job and its temporary too.
