  • Hi everyone,

Extra special hello to all those who have joined the thread this week :D

Although I have managed (over the course of the week) to read everyones posts my brain is drawing a blank :o

Glamazon - I sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees as it helps to ease pain in my hips (I threw out the body pillow a year ago thinking that I would never need it again - typical!) I [strike]think[/strike] know that my biggest problem is that I forget not to pick up dd2 - lol she is not happy! I had awful hip/pelvic pain when pregnant with her... once she arrived and was about 6 months old it ended up being really bad (as in shooting pains down my legs) I tend to carry them on my hip so I think my posture was thrown out of kilter? I bought a hip seat and that made a huge difference (just for future reference!) So try not to carry anything heavy and try and think about your posture - might help.

tia - what size car seats are your ds's in? I am presuming they are 15kg+? do the have/need high backs or just the cushions? Will they still be in the same size seats around June time? Lots of questions :rotfl:sorry! I know from experience this is one of the hardest things with 3 (especially when they are all in the car seat stage) Last 2 cars were scenics to start with we had 1 in a birth-9kg seat, 1 in a 9kg+ car seat and 1 in a High back booster. This combo worked fine. The problem started when ds went into a high back booster and dd2 went into a 9kg+ seat. My point is have you tried fitting your ds's current seats with the carseat you would use for baby? (Just to point out the scenic doesn't actually have 3 full seats in the back - just 3 induvidual seats iykwim?) I will keep my eyes peeled I am sure I have seen some of the mums and dads at school with what look like tiny booster seats - will ask if I can spot who owns what.

    Molly
    - Normally with the car seats they test them when a new model/shape is brought out and those results remain vaild until they bring out a new model when they check again and update with golf/1999/golf 04/golf 59 (these are ramdom dates I made up). So if your car is the same as the 2004 model then you should be fine (as long as the diagram shows it is ok to use!)

Hugs to all those who are having a tough week x

Finally received my scan letter today - due to the surgery taking 2 weeks to request the appointments only to find to consultant that they have assigned me to only runs clincs in the afternoon which I can't go to and pick the kids up from school :( His secretary offered no help in telling me how to go about changing it. When I got back from picking the kids up from school I realised she hadn't taken my details to cancel the appointment so I phoned again. At this point I was almost in tears (hormones!) the lady asked my what I was going to do about rearraging the appointment:rotfl: I explained again that I couldn't work the clinic times with collecting the kids so I would have a scan elsewhere - so I finally was put through to someone helpful (which almost had me in tears again!) The first appointmet that she can offer me will be when I am 16 weeks :rotfl: Anyway helpful lady is trying to organise 1 appointment for scan and 1 for the consultant rather than 1 appointment for both - fingers crossed she calls back on Monday! I think I need to organise a new GP though

Also managed to get over feeling squimish about food and am cooking again :j ds came into the kitchen the other night and was pleased to see me back to "normal"

Sorry that was long and I have missed loads :o

At least as long as we look fat, strangers won't try and touch us!

Mine is small - I felt a bit silly sat in the parentcraft class surrounded by big bumps :o but its deff a bump when I'm stood up :D I find having a had permanently attached to bump helps make it more obvious its bump not fat tho
I was gonna put a pic of my bump up but Chris has broken my digi camera
I felt embarrassed at the antenatal day unti yesterday when I had a bigger bump than a girl who was 41 weeks! she was tall though so maybe this is why it looked smaller.

I don't think so. I think I get BH's after BD'ing, and my bump definitely tightens. This just feels like crampy stretching, almost constant. As if he is stretching every side of me out at once! I imagine him being like a starfish, trying to get himself some more space. Its been there all week, but has stopped now I've popped!
The Dr yesterday said that at the moment there is an awful lot of stretching and pulling going on.

  • Has anyone successfully obtained a Health in Pregancy Grant Form yet as I have been trying for 5 weeks and still had no joy. Tried Doctors and midwifes and they dont have any and helpline said I cant be the one to request a form!!
  • Hello Everyone

May I join you please? I just got my BFP yesterday so am still in shock and to be honest total confusion about what I should be doing next! Still, I have made an appointment with the doctor for next week so that's a start. I think our biggest challenge is going to be keeping it quiet and not telling anyone we know even though we are mega excited:D

I can't believe how long this thread is  - its going to take some serious reading to catch up with. In the meantime if there's anyone at the same stage as me who wants to be pregnancy buddies let me know (by the time I've read through the thread to find you the nine months will probably be nearly over!!)

I've still not got one, every time I ask they don't have a form. I imagine if we don't get a form by a certain time, we lose out? Doesn't seem fair!

    Morning ladies!

Haven't caught up on the thread sorry cos I needed to skip right to the end to ask you all a Q...

Something strange happened yesterday ~ I realised that I hadn't had heartburn all day (which is very odd, I always have it!) and I realised that I could breathe really easily (because I couldn't as everything was squashing my lungs), then I realised that the top of my tum (across where my bra would sit) was all spongey and not really hard like it had been.

I can feel pressure in lower tum and pelvis and when I had a wee last night, my bump was practially sitting on my lap!!

It feels like everything has shifted down.....it's wayyy to early for that isn't it?? I'm only 27 weeks today!

Has this happened to anyone else??
