Tine - Sorry got side tracked by Chris refusing to eat
The only other way to get some reassurance if ur car hasn't been tested my Maxi Cosi is to go to Babies r us/halfords/mothercare and ask them to check it fits correctly, generally the thing's that make them not fit is if the seat isn't level (a possibility in ur posh VW) I know a lot of seats don't go in MIL's car coz the back seats are leather, slant a lot are are slightly bucket shaped  she has a BMW 1 series I think (it looks like a boot IMHO) if she takes Chris she has to borrow one of us sensible peoples cars :D

My 1st port of call though after VW would be ur local council, ask them if they have a road safety unit that does carseat safety - Mine does and they are very good! I need to get an app ASAP to see if my new seat will go in my mum's stoopid Japanese car

Welcome Ann and Sugar and anyone else I've missed!! :hello:

Taken ages to catch up - but warning I haven't looked at every page so hugs to those that need them. Noticed a rant about a post being ignored so don't want anyone to feel left out.

NO-ONE ANSWERED MY QUESTION ABOUT HIP PAIN AND IF IT AFFECTS EVERYONE BUT I'LL LET YOU OFF :rotfl:

FG - love the photos you look fab

AM - Glad everything is OK

RMAC - Oh hope you have little one in your arms now as we haven't heard from you!!!

I am officially cream crackered!! Worked 8am - 7pm Wednesday (very stressful day) then ended up getting tickets to Merseyside derby so had to race from Wigan to Liverpool, change out my work clothes, pick up my ticket and get into the stadium by 8pm just made it. Then with extra time didn't get home until 12.30am! Even busier day yesterday and today and it's not getting any easier - I am having work piled on me left right and centre. We have 12 managers in our organisation and I end up with 3 times as much work as everyone else! One of the top bosses praised me though in front of EVERYONE else and really showed them up :D just hope he remembers all my hard work when he does pay rises in April!!! Either that or when I annouce pg I will try and get full maternity pay!

Need to slow down a bit though as getting really bad back and some little twinges in my stomach - I plan to have a nice lie-in tomorrow morning.

Thread seems slow tonight - are you all out partying?!!

Glamazon - my Midwife said that about 25% of pregnant ladies get some degree of hip pain. Mine started at about 13 weeks, I was on crutches at about 18 weeks. When the baby got bigger and moved out of my pelvis a bit, it got better, think I managed without crutches for most of weeks 22-28. Its starting to get worse again now, and Midwife says it'll keep getting worse till I have the baby. Tonight I'm unable to walk unaided :(

Have you spoken to someone about the pain? I went to a pain in pregnancy class at the Physio department, and the exercises, support belt and advice they gave really helped.

    Thanks feelie

I'm only 7 weeks but found the last few weeks my lower back is really stiff and painful and my hips keep seizing up so I walk like an old woman! I probably over-exerted myself!

MW in less than 2 wks - how sad am I? Crossing off the days on my High School Muscial WallPlanner!!

Oh Sami - I've not known anything like it!

I've probably done more like in the last 3 days than anyone else in my org does in a month! The problem is I have loadsa experience especially with the computer system so get roped into everything! I even purposely didn't volunteer for anything but after averting my eyes found everyone look at me expectantly.
All I can say is they better remember me otherwise towards the end of my mat leave I'll be looking for a job with more benenfits!!

I've not had TV on - OH wants to watch first series of Gavin & Stacey again (we only watched it last weekend!)

I do the best Nessa and Uncle Bryn impressions have the girls in working in stitches :rotfl:

Oh, Stace, I'm not being funny right I'm knackered alright ........
