Babies can turn at anytime. With DS1 I was breech at 36 weeks so booked me for a scan about a week later and he had already turned. Is there not a possibility they can turn the baby if you are only 29 weeks?
I'm not sure tbh, she was focusing on the size issue more.

  • Gosh!
Just been for a midwife appt.
Bubs is breech, i'm measuring 33 weeks (i'm 29) and there is sugar in my urine, but it could be due to the fact I had to use a drinks bottle and it might not of been washed out properly :o
Got to do my glucose blood test tommorrow without fail and go back to see MW on Tuesday, results should be back by then and if i'm still measuring big I have to have a scan.
If bubs stays breech I have to have a C section too, what are the odds of him turning between now and 39 weeks

    theres time to move yet.

I was told to crawl around on my hands and knees.Yes I looked a pratt but it worked.

Note : This is best done in the privacy of your own home and not when your out shopping!

  • Was it your normal midwife that measured you ? Only different people can measure different. it ideally should be done by the same midwife ...or so i read recently

Taken ages to catch up - you guys natter too much!!!

:hello: to all the newbies and congrats to those who have had scans and know what team they are on!!!

Did that labour prediction - I'm going to be early, baby born in morning, 7.5lbs and 12hr labour!! Hello - that's not going to happen it will be like MFD said waters break, push push all over. Don't do pain, don't do agony and don't do mess :rotfl: Dream on Glam ....................................................

Can't remember anything else from the thread except Sami going to class - enjoy and especially enjoy the McD's - although did someone say we can't have McFlurry's?!!!!

Found out someone I know is pg and due the month before me which is good as I don't know many people up here.

Oh yeah - regarding telling people. My parents split up yonks ago and I want to tell them at the same time as I don't want the 'i can't believe you told them before me'. So plan to get a few copies of scan if I can, pop it in card - Dear Grandma, Grandad etc and do it that way!
OH wants to tell his parents face to face but they live 4hrs away so will either spill beans when they come up next altho didn't want to tell b4 12wk scan (baby stuff in spare room might give it away) or he'll have to tell them over the phone.
Been together 9 years so it shouldn't be a surprise as we mentioned we were thinking about it.

    Hope everyone is OK

    Hi all

popping back in for half an hour...

My mum was 42 when she became a nan, I had ds1 a month after my 21st birthday.

AM - I think there is a good chance of baby turning before 39wks, the midwife only 'checked' me for head down position at my 34wk appt..they said it's not worth it before that esp with subsequent babies as they can turn around quite late on.

Somebody mentioned older mums (maybe suzy?) I work in a pharmacy and always nosey at peoples ages on the prescriptions...not long ago we had a pregnant lady in who was 49yrs old

SB - As soon as I had ds1 in my arms at the hospital I said I want another one. I planned a two year age gap and got it almost bang on 23mths apart. and that is because ds2 came nearly 3wks early would have been 10days off the 2yr gap if he had come on time:)

Ds2 was a bit of a nightmare baby, very clingy, very whingy, wouldn't feed, wouldn't take a dummy, wouldn't sleep!!! I Didn't really think too much about a third baby for a little while as he was such hard work!!

    Mel x

Oh, r.mac I can't believe it's not happened yet. I predict tomorrow night, right in the middle of the Liverpool v Everton match!!!

My OH takes Evening Primrose Oil as it helps with scalp ezcema - I have to rip the label off the bottle in case anyone sees it and thinks he's secretly a woman!!!

I shall have to remember that - although can't imagine inserting one at night and it 'dissolving'. They are quite big capsules!

Try it r.mac and let us know, you can get it in any supermarket.

Haven't gone to DS swimming lesson as we've had over inch snow in 45 mins. Crazy cos my friend is a 15 min drive away and they haven't had snow all day and ours has been on and off since last night. Kids are back out in it, never been like this as we're so close to the sea.
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
