Hiya SB and congrats to you too :hello:
I'm 35 ,I'll be 36 when the lil one is born.
I had my first child at 20 , and what i thought was my last at 26.I'm starting again but so excited about the future,i even possibly want another one after this one too !
I've noticed that there is a fair few older mums around ( in real life i mean noton here ) since I had my other children so it doesnt bother me so much now but it did at first
I knew I wanted another baby as soon as Poppy was born and when I was preg with Jamie said we were happy with just two....but not long after he was born I couldn't imagine not having another one!!!
Still working on DH :cool::D.

3onitsway I hadn't heard about the evening primrose oil. Can you tell me moew???? may have to send hubby an email requesting he get some
I've been using clary sage oil in my bath - It's actually an alright smell IMO, but it's meant to bring on contractions and it's not done anything for me at all!
Apparenty..............
Evening primrose oil is an excellent source of prostaglandins, which readies your cervix for labor. It can be taken orally as soon as 34 weeks, and can be applied directly to the cervix (HOW?) at full term (36 weeks). The general recommendation is two 500mg capsules per day until week 38, at which time you increase to 3-4 per day. The entire capsule can be inserted vaginally (inserted just before bed, it will dissolve before the first time you wake to use the bathroom) (eeee!), or you can use the oil on your fingers for your perineal massage, then also rub on your cervix (assuming you can reach it). Applying directly to the cervix is optimal, but the beneficial ingredients are absorbed through the external skin or the stomach also.

I'd not heard any of that before? Although i did used to take evening primrose for PMT, I don't actually think it did anything.
And mum became a Granny when she was 45 when I had DS 12 (I was 25) - now this is her third grandchild at 57 she still insists she's not old enough?!?
OH's mum and dad are only 46 - this one is there first. They were babes when they met, married and had OH - at 18!! And they're still together.
(For anyone doing the maths - yes, he's my toyboy!).:beer:0 -

Hi Ladies
I had my 12 week scan today!!!!! all is fine was a very emotional, had got myself in a bit of a state and convinced myself there was no baby and it was all a mistake. was amazing to see him jumping around - in fact wouldnt keep still and the guy had a problem measuring.
We are now gonna start telling people, have no idea where to start esp with my parents, will be there first grandchild and this will be completly out of the blue, although OH and I have been together for 6 years think they will still be shocked esp as we arent married....any tips???
Have been catching up on all your news and now off to raid the cupboard at work in the hope of coming across some chocolate!!!

My 19 year old niece is pregnant with her first too - it is a bit of a clash of generations...not sure she 'approves' of me being so old and I am not sure I 'approve' of her being so young but we are getting on well with it...
I say 'approve' in very loose terms - it's not in a judgemental at all - we just both think the other is mad for doing it that way around :rotfl:
My SIL will be a nan when she is 39.
I suppose that is what you get when you marry a sugar daddy:rotfl:
