Joyful Ok you've twisted my arm, if you and Kim-ley are going to be brave, I will also try the dreaded mooncup. I'll order it tonight as I have to go and pick up my baby granddaughter for nanny babysitting duty in a minute :j
Not sure if it will come in time for the first couple of days as Im due on any time now. Have you ordered yours yet ?
Kim-ley or KimberlyI think thats a really nice idea. Thanks for testing the Simply products and recommending them. Its great when someone does this , you can waste loads of money trying different things until you find something your happy with. I've saved the site and will check it later when the little ones gone home again, if Im not too shattered

Aw! Yukky fillings- poor you! Alpro yoghurts on the other hand- yummy!! Me and DD love them but the vanilla and strawberry ones are always on offer and they are the only thing my 8 month old DD has ever turned her nose up at! Seriously she will eat anything but not them. We love the cherry and peach and mango though! Yummy! Not sure what make they were but we had blueberry vegan yoghurt a while ago which was delicious.0 -
Can anyone recommend a decent Chinese Vegan cookbook - preferably one that doesn't use loads of ingredients that are not freely available?
Dairy products are not consumed much in China so if you get hold of a Chinese vegetarian cookbook and ignore the recipes containing egg, there will probably be quite a few left you can try.
Madhur Jaffrey's Eastern Vegetarian Cooking is a good cookbook with recipes from many Asian countries, including China. I have had it for over 20 years and it's still one of my favourite cookbooks. (There's a used copy going on Amazon.co.uk at the moment for 89p plus postage!)0 -

I had a strawberry & banana one, couldn't have guessed it wasn't real yoghurt. Tomorrow I'm going to investigate if banana Crusha is vegan. I hate drinking milk (and soy milk) unless it's banana flavoured and used to get my calcium from yoghurts, but soy yoghurts are REALLY expensive and I'm too lazy to make my own so banana flavoured soy milk it is.0 -
you can buy soy milk that is already banana flavour have you tried that?I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! Slap my bum.

Yeah I had some the other day it was scrummy, was Provamel I think, But I can only find it in small cartons (lunchbox sized) from H&B at 50p a pop. Can only find big cartons of chocolate milk in the supermarkets.0 -

Some chrusha flavours aren't even veggie friendly anymore (Raspberry and both Strawberry varieties). I'm sure they all used to be veggie friendly but no idea what happened. The banana one says veggie friendly but I don't know if it is vegan friendly. http://www.crusha.co.uk/caterers/banana.html
It contains the following:
Water, Sugar, Banana Puree (16.5%), Citric Acid, Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Acidity Regulator (Trisodium Citrate), Flavouring, Sweetener (Sodium Saccharin), Colour (Mixed Carotenes).
I can't see anything personally but as I say I'm not sure.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0
