SM - I surely think you are allowed a lie in every now and then so weekend thread is a grand idea. Thank you for taking the trouble to start the thread each day. :T

If Fay is having 2 birthdays, can I have 2 as well as my birthday is also April?

When we found out Pip was due on Christmas Day we were planning on him having 2 birthdays, 1 in the summer. Does that count as a DFW thing as I had him late? :rotfl:

    Today I have:
    • Done daily scratches
    • NSD
    • Store cupboard tea
    • Went to Nans for a bit of warmth rather than put mine on!!! Also got free cups of tea all afternoon.
    • Watched Martin on GMTV, he mentioned approved foods which is typical as I had planned to check them out this wekend and now I bet I cant get onto the site.
Hugs to those who need them. X X X
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700

Hmm have had my thinking cap on and have decided to compromise on the style of the thread;)
During the week when we are all hard at it grafting and posting lots I will carry on the daily dfw thread as normal:D , at the weekend when there are usually less posts because we are all out doing stuff I think we will have a weekend thread covering the two days:D ,that way I can have a lie in now and again on Sundays too without worrying about getting things started:p :p

I don't want to put off any new posters with a long thread as the more people we have posting the more varied and interesting it is:T

(and I need to keep a close eye on fay for signs of rampant food buying, excess charity shop sprees and wayward trips to the florists:rotfl: :rotfl: )

 I don't know what you mean SM - regarding my excesses. Lightbulb moment............

I am going to open up a garden/flower shop with a recycling centre in it (aka fay-cycle style charity shop) and do DFW-homebakes and cups of tea in it whilst offering dodgy horticultural advice (gardening advice that sounds posh so I can charge more) whilst offering 'DFW holiday retreats in my house' to help pay the bills, those familiar with the OS thread fly-by very welcome.

My pals are still joking about 'fay's ''good life'' home school of household economics' after they came to stay. You lot have alot to answer for....

Ok flower shop + tea room type thingmy for hortiwhotist consultations = conservatory
garden centre = garden shed and greenhouse
    online sales = ebay
kids go in holidays = empty bedrooms = holiday retreats

    me= one day debt free

Told you the flowers would sort it out....tee hee - too much academic writing today. Can you tell??

waving to you all - enjoy romantic dinners/cinema etc................

I am April 13th which is Easter Monday this year so certainly plan to have a Birthday/Easter weekend, not sure I can drag it out all month!! :rotfl:

Approved foods sell on or close to Best before date tinned and packet foods I first heard about them on live on £4000 a year challenge thread, SM or many others might know more about them as I have never actually ordered from them yet. Thiunk I will leave off looking this weekend as thanks to GMTV I bet everyone and their brother will look on there today!!

Just looked and there is a 12 day wait for delivery, a few things I looked at said out of stock but some stuff still there, might order after all?

I recently had my first order from them - quite impressed with it, short dated. up to sell by date stuff but all fine to use. I got lots of Lloyd grossman sauces (80) ryvita muesli bars, yoghurt bars, snack jacks, baking stuff etc - lots of snack type foods on there at cheap prices okay for lunchboxes etc. Postage can be steep so you need to weigh up whether order is worth it.

    Evening all,

    My dfw things for today;
    • Got up at 7:30am (instead of having too much of a a lie in whilst on holiday)
    • Worked though the items on todays to do list
    • Breakfast – continued to use up old Ready Brek instead of opening up a delicious box of Crunchy nut corn flakes
    • Lunch – remainder of DS sausage roll (which I did buy from Morrisons but not an expensive sandwich which he wouldn’t have wanted anyway)
    • Took juice of of house so I didn’t have to buy any
    • Posted off item for DH (faulty item from Ebay)
    • Made 1 ½ cups of tea from one tea bag
    • Brought The Sun paper with free Sun coupon
    • Cut out money off coupons from Sun paper and put in my purse
    • Collected free spl football stickers
    • Petrol – got from Shell who are slightly cheaper than BP – just noticed SA did not scan my card properly thus no points!
    • Will put £2 coin into my sisters wedding cash present
    • TK Maxx – got a Pierre Cardin evening suit jacket for DH for £5  (hope it fits!!) and beautiful Xmas stocking 70p from their final clearance - JACKET FITS DH AND HE LOVES IT AND HE WAS DELIGHTED WITH THE BRAND AS HE LOVES THEIR SUITS.
    • Found 9p
    • Took 1 empty bottle and a few small ripped plastic bags for recycling
    • Went to library with DS for 1st time in 2 years.
    • Resisted putting heating for an extra ½ hour and just put housecoat on
    • Phoned dentist after receiving an invoice for treatment I paid for the same day!
    • Received a couple of Tesco coupons in the mail (in my purse now)
    • Ripped out addresses from junk mail to reuse
    • Did a couple of mutual point e-mail click throughs
    • Sister put money (which I made from Ebay) into my bank account which has paid for my annual car insurance
    • Brought and paid for my full annual car insurance (cheaper than monthly and I also got it cheaper than my existing provider who couldn’t beat the price I got)
    • Printed off extra points coupons from Boots AC machine (incase I see something worth buying)
    • Gave my bus pass to sister to use today saving her a few £s
I need to start making dinner so will read the rest of the thread later. Oh if I don't post tomorrow it because it's my birthday and I might be busy - mind you I don't think DH has remembered (or he's very good a keping quiet) so I might be here after all. We shall see... IT TWIGGED ONLY WHEN I WAS MAKING DINNER AND ASKED ME WHAT I WAS DOING TOMORROW SO HE'S BEEN BUSY DOWNSTAIRS MAKING ME A BIRTHDAY CAKE - SECRETLY
