  • Hello to you all waving - xx - busy on here today

Hi Piq - how am i um - trying to write about energy policy and losing the will to live. Keep thinking I will over come, I will show my idiot supervisor and I will keep getting paid somehow or other.

How about you, rotten news about the no pay increase thing.........

Keeping up with your adventures on your diary - and am seriously thinking of starting one - would I keep it up though???, and manage to keep you all chucklilng with my insane (ok its dull at the moment) life.

No horse in mine to cheer folks up - just two dogs, a nochalent (sp?) cat a couple of chickens and a couple of ankle biters sorry chilblains, oops again sorry - darling children - that's right isnt it. And life on a windy island. Oh yeah and my insane notion that I am barbara from the good life (i wish I was so bonny) and the children indulge mum's wannabe wierdo tree hugging greenie life. Just wait they will understand one day - I blame the BBC entirely you know.

When is it polite to ask them to a - get a job - b - keep my in some manner of warmth and luxury and c- provide for my every needs?

I know, I know, that's my job. Just as well I steal their socks - ha ha.

Anyway I digress - the OH doesn't want to go to florida - pah to him.

Snow drops are poking their heads up, as are the crocus flowers. Its just so exciting seeing some things wake up.

Waving to you all and back to the energy policy nonsense.

I thinking of calling my phd 'the wind and the willows' - they didnt see the funny side of it. Academics - pah.

Please please start a diary, it would be so entertaining!! I love the stories of your life, please start it now....Hey KT and I did!!

The diary helps keep track of things, this threads only fault - and I'm not complaining - is that you can't easily go back and check when you did something or what progress you have made. Having said that I love this thread to bits and all the very dear friends I have made on it. I would list the friends, but I know I'd miss someone important and hurt their feelings :o

  • Piq - you very sweetyou and KT are very clever though............

ok will think of something very silly to call it and make it my Feb resolution...gives me a couple days to get my head around it all - but like you said I think its good to keep up with how its all going. And of course file my tax return - ahem - its not on the list but it should be.

Now as my poor head is about to explode due to reading long words I don't understand I need to go walk muttlets and see if any of my willow is still in the ground and not on its way to Norway or Greenland. (its a peedie bit breezy outside)

    cheerio the nooooooo -

Busy day already on here:D , every one is doing really well:T :T

Fay - Happy unbirthday to you;) , and I think wind and the willows is a lovely cheeky name for your report:rotfl: , will have to read your diary too now:eek: , it's like all my babies are leaving and branching out on ther own, KT, Piq, etc - I'm never going to be able to keep up.

Piq - Know what you mean about the thread, I was only contemplating the other day making it into a continuous thread with just a post within it to change the days each day - what does everyone think?????
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

  • I vote for a daily thread if poss. - or if really necessary a weekly one but I dont really like massive long threads and it can be off putting for newbies sometimes to join in something they feel has been going for a long time or if friendships are very obvious.

But - please do your own diary!!!

  • Well SM
I tihnk you might have something there - whilst I love seeing it pop up on the screen in the morning - I do often have to go and find the rest of it from the previous day - but that's just me.

And he he he - it won't be so easy to see when we have been naughty cos the numbers will be continuous - rather than starting from one everyday.

Went for a wander around the local charities shops at lunch - spent about um 2.80 and got about a billion different sized candles and a lovely thing for the present drawer this is very DFW cos its:
    good recycling
    supporting local charities
saving of electricity - no lights
    will look pretty later on
I only really got 7 candles all pillar ones etc and 3 daisy tea light holders charity shops are one of my vices :)
