Thursday 29/1/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move money to savings
  • storecupbpard lunch - tea out with friend for her birthday
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • ironing for me
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
  • sparkle -cow socks this morning
  • find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
Good morning dfw's running a little late here this morning had a bit of a crisis first thing with one of oldies but all okay now. Hope you all have a great day, hugs to anyone in need.
Welcome to any new posters,:D and hi to all the regulars:D - can't believe how long the thread was yesterday:eek:

Area manager arriving again in an hour and have decorators loose in the building, a plumber and an electrician so busy morning ahead.
Catch up with you all later:D

Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Morning All :hello:
    • Hmm Lidl seeds, will I break my NSD for more seeds when I bought DOZENS of ood seeds in theWyvale sale last month.......
    • Brought in lunch -minute portion of leftovers and two almost empty tubs of humous, both the lodger and I are too polite to want to look greedy and finish anything off.......:o
    • out to supper at a friends tonight for a girlie night. And I won't take my purse in case someone kindly suggests a whip-round as a thank-you to her. I'll take some scented candles from my pressie stash instead (They're prone to spending other peoples money these pals ;) )
    • bit of housework in an old style way. (Star drops, microfibre cloths and elbow grease)
    • charge phone at work.
    • scratch'n'click
Have a great day everyone :D
  • I'm going looking at houses today  as I'm getting more than a bit fed up with the noise from downstairs. I like where I stay, but after 10 years in flats, I want a garden and absolutely no one else attached to any of my floors or walls annoying me with their flipping noise

If the deal is right, then the move could be on, if not, I won't, but if they can do adecent part-exchange for my place, and make sure that I'm no worse off per month than I am now, then.................................a decision to make. Could be an expensive day!

Other than that, my Mum is coming over to give a second opinion on the house, and I'm taking the car to get an estimate for the bumper repair.

On a positive note, my Mum will probably buy lunch!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
