I'd suggest crumble too or possibly a cheesecake biscuit base(crush and mix with melted butter.Or crush and add to a muffin recipe to give a crunchy texture.

Thank you! I am tempted by the cheesecake idea, as I am planning on making lime cheesecake this weekend anyway  , but I don't think I can risk messing up again and wasting my mascarpone cheese.

Crumble sounds like a safer bet for me. I'll go and store the fruits of my labour in a container that isn't the bin then...

  • This happened to me and I bought some cheap natural yoghurts and vanilla mullerlights and used the flap jack mix to sprinkle on top, it was lovely, a bit like the muller corners only half the price!!!

    Flapjacks

Here is one - it's not the one I used, and now I look at it, there are WAY less oats in this one. In fact, I think there was a typo in the recipe I used, as it said 75g of butter and 175g of oats - surely this should have been 75g of oats?! No wonder it all went wrong

I noticed you say you used Ready Brek to make the flapjacks and biscuits - do you mean the fine powdery kind? If so, this is not the same as porridge oats and presumably wouldn't produce the sort of result you might have been hoping for
