Does anyone know if you can combine Clubcard points if you merge accounts?
My H2B and I want to buying a wedding band from Goldsmiths and between us have lots of points to spend, but the Ts and Cs say you can't use differently named deals vouchers in the same transaction. We're wondering if it's worthwhile combining accounts to get the vouchers all in one name.
On the other hand, we've also seen some people say you can combine points anyway if you both live at the same address - is that still true?
Do the Goldsmith's vouchers come with anything identifiable other than a surname?
2) Do you have old unused vouchers in different names, or just plenty of current points?
3) Maybe, maybe not.
If you merge the cards, then even if you have old vouchers in individual names - Tesco Freetime can see these separate names are currently in a joint account, and therefore issue vouchers accordingly.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Apologies if this is in the wrong Section - I was unsure of where to post it to be honest
Looking at the Tesco Rewards vouchers. Apart from paintstakingly going into every potential deal out there, is there any way I can tell which deals actually ARE transferrable to another person?
Every one I've looked at so far says vouchers can't be transferred
Has anybody any experience of this? I'm a bit new to Tesco
Thanks0 -
I have a reward token that expires today - is there anything I can exchange it for on the internet ie without posting the voucher to someone as obviously, it will be expired by the time they receive it?0

You can ring Tesco Clubcard and they'll extend the closing date on it for you.0 -
ok, phoned up clubcard and they said that I can send it back to them for a refund as long as they get it before the end of the week. Thanks for your help.0

no deal is transferable theoretically. however, alot of the companies that take part in the scheme, dont ask for ID when you redeem the voucher, so you can usually get away with using a voucher that isnt in your name
the only deals where you could be caught out, are ones that require confirmation of name when booking, ie holiday/travel bookings
restaurants and theme parks dont request ID, so these are the deals to aim for, if you are planning on giving/selling vouchers to someone

Hi! Just wanted to know if anyones used tescos vouchers at goldsmiths, and wether they check the name on it?
As i've been given tesco vouchers to use at goldsmiths by a friend, so im just worried that if i used them they may question the name on it and ask to see some identity? Help! :undecided0 -
i have on several occasions went to tesco to recycle my cans but as i noticed the machine was recognising the cans as plastic so i didn't get the point. I went to the store manager and complained and he told me the machine operater was coming out to fix the machine as there was a fault. So a couple of weeks later i again went to the machine and yet again it wasnt working again and to add insult to injury while putting in my cans i was stung on my arm by a wasp. Again i went to the store manager who got a first aider to sort out my wasp sting and again i mentioned about the machine not giving me clubcard points for my aluminum cans. fair enough he rung me a week later and gave me 500 points but i think i lost loads of points as i had put hundreds of cans in the machine. so now im saving them in my garage and going to weigh them in and get real money. I have checked out the local price for cans and the best price is 45p per kilo so let the colecting begin ...lol.0

Thanks for this. How many people should you get for recycling a can (of say, Coke?). I normally put them out for the Council recycle men to collect. Trouble is I would have to drive about 4 miles to my local Tesco recycling store, so it would have to be worth my while, as I have nowhere to store all the cans !Thank you for reading this message.0

As long as you will pay for the rest of the value with cash and show no plastic with different name on it or mix the vouchers with vouchers with different name on it you shouldn't have a problem..0
