I can guarantee I wont get a credit card lol, not with my bad history. Shame really, that would be right handy with the amount I spend (3 kids 8 and under). I wonder if my grandad would get one in his name for me. Would that make a difference or does everything have to be in my name? Hmm.
I have just moved and am looking for a housephone, some reason BT are demanding £130 for a line even though theres one in so will have a look. I can see my night being consumed with looking at how I can earn clubcard points lol. Thanks for all the advice, its been really helpful:D:D

No, if your grandad got a credit card in his name then he would earn points.
You could merge the accounts, but that is only if you live at the same address.
Good grandad if he did take out a credit card for you... I know I certainly wouldn't take out credit card for anyone..0 -

You don't have to use them right now, just before their expiry date, but look after them and keep them somewhere safe because you can't get them replaced....
Vouchers go out at least four times a year, Feb, May, Aug., & Nov., currently you need at least 150 points to get any cash vouchers (was recently 100).
Yes, keep them in a safe place, but if you do lose them - provided they are still have a valid date, they can be converted back into points.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Does anyone know if there are any restaurants that accept the Clubcard tokens without converting them to Reward Vouchers. I thought this used to be possible.

Does anyone know if you can combine Clubcard points if you merge accounts?
My H2B and I want to buying a wedding band from Goldsmiths and between us have lots of points to spend, but the Ts and Cs say you can't use differently named deals vouchers in the same transaction. We're wondering if it's worthwhile combining accounts to get the vouchers all in one name.
On the other hand, we've also seen some people say you can combine points anyway if you both live at the same address - is that still true?
Do the Goldsmith's vouchers come with anything identifiable other than a surname?0 -

the vouchers come with just the surname on. sometimes the staff in goldsmiths arent too hot on checking whether names on different vouchers match
personally i would risk it. if the staff query it, then i would just blag and either say tesco allow people living at the same address to merge vouchers, or, the fact you are buying a wedding ring with the vouchers obviously means you wont have matching names on the vouchers, as you arent married yet! its not like you are trying to defraud by using vouchers that dont belong to either of you

Hi
I am buying a car for about £4,000. I have the cash to pay it straight off rather than use any of the loans / other type of schemes.
As I have a Tesco Mastercard and I am trying to figure out if its worth paying with the card (and then paying the card with the cash).
Paying with the card has a 2% charge (equars to £80). Tesco converts £4 to 1 point for using the card meaning 1000 points.
I've tryied calling Tesco to find how would this covert to 'real' money saving. They tell me 1000 points = £10.
I don't use airmiles or eating out in resturant vouchers much - I would rather prefer some more substantial saving, maybe petrol or other shopping.
Anyone more experianced with Tesco club and voucher schemes can offer some advice?0 -

This does seem right, you will be paying more to use your card than you would gain in clubcards. If I'm right you gain 0.25% on the clubcard but you're paying 2% to use it, I think.0
