cagsd,
I got as far as working out 80 CC but I wasn't sure of the value. I had to pay for something by credit card as I didn't have funds on my debit card. For credit card transaction I was surcharged £7. So if I exchange the 80 CC for rewards deals x3, I have £0.80x3=£2.40 so the true cost to me of the fee is £4.60.
Is that right? Thanks again.0 -
Got a quick question.
Our tumble dryer has packed in and we are looking to get a new one.
We have our eye on ones at £140 on the Tesco Direct website. Would we be fine in using a £30 gift voucher and approx £25 in clubcard vouchers to help pay for it leaving us with £85 to pay by card?
I know we could use the vouchers for other stuff but nothing else has taken our fancy.0 -
Can someone please explain how using JTD is worthwhile. Let's say that tesco is £1.00 cheaper than asda for suntan lotion. I buy 5 bottles. Tesco give me £5 back but I end up only with 5 bottles of suntan lotion that I didn't really want and I've spent a fiver. I'm always reading how people can "profit" from multi buying and using the price checkers to their advantage buti can never see the advantage. ThanksTo do is to be. Rousseau

You can save the suntan lotion for another year!
Use them as a hedge against inflation (they will go up in price next year!).
Sell them to your friends and family at full price (or 10p off !!)Thank you for reading this message.0 -

you don't buy stuff on JTD, that you don't want. You look at things that you would normally buy/want/need. Then you compare the prices using the websites, or mysupermarket and see if it is cheaper at Asda. Then you buy it. then you get JTD.
no point buying things for the sake of it, unless you are going to sell on..0 -

Just the difference
Used to be Double the difference until some people decided to make a living out of it.
If your shop would have been cheaper they will give you back the difference.0 -
So what is the advantage of JTD?
If it's cheaper at Asda then buy it there?
Or am I missing something.
Danny.
ps. I understood the advantage of DTD.0 -

some people don't have an asda close to them. And also, they use coupons/vouchers, jtd, etc to purchase their shopping and then generate more jtd. So for them it works out to their benefit. ie, they don't pay the full price. they pay reduced price after vouchers and jtd.0 -
Thanks for the explanation AESOP. That makes sense now.
Would be good if they did price matching for online grocery shopping.
