i am in desperate need of an answer to my question, i have searched the internet but have found nothing!!

does anybody know how long it takes for virgin air miles to be credited to your frequent flyer account when they have been exchanged from tesco clubcard vouchers?

it says within 28 days on the website but this is far too long for me to wait as i have found a flight i want to book & virgin are holding it for me till saturday 31st march. if the miles are not credited by then i am going to lose it :(

somebody please put me out of my misery and say they are credited the next day!!!!!

I think it's unlikely they'll be credited the next day.
I've changed CC vouchers for Airmiles/Avios a few of times and they always say up to 28 days but they've usually taken around a week to 10 days to show up. The last time they only took 5 days, that was the quickest they've ever arrived.
Of course, that was Avios, Virgin could be different.

When did you make the exchange?

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Has anyone used Barcelo International for their Clubcard vouchers? I m thinking of using my vouchers for a city break to Spain but was wondering how easy it is to book and if the prices they give you when you mention clubcard are worth the hassle?
We used Barcelo last year in Minorca (The Hamilton) they were really good & no problems at all. We had just booked a basic room but found that we had been upgraded to a superior sea view room (newly refurbished too) so more than pleased!
The booking process was very easy & the staff helpful - the only thing to be aware of is that you will not get any discounts quoted on their website & will pay the full going rate when booking through CC points. I didn’t realize this & only found out when I phoned them to check availability, so we only had enough points for 6 days & not 7 as we wanted. However this was soon sorted as I booked the 6 days with Barcelo direct & the extra night via Venere (offering a good discount!) I mentioned this when we checked in as I thought we may have to move rooms (especially as we had a free upgrade) but they let us stay in the same room at no extra charge. Now saving points for our next trip somewhere with them :T
Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!

Do not forget to check the expiry date of your vouchers as it is coming up to a quarter anniversary i.e. 31 Mar.

I very much doubt it. Voucher Exchanges usually occur when there is a mailing, and the next one won't be until mid-May!

No you can not use the vouchers - they are out of date. But do not delay - ring Clubcard - more than likely get the points put back on to receive again in the next mailing. Should be lucky to with (valid untill) November '11 - but please (anyone) don't think you can do the same with any earlier vouchers!

Can someone please help me with this calculation?

A purchase outside of Tesco for £320.
How many points is that worth?
What is the value in £ of those points?

Going by the fact they give:
1 Clubcard point for every £4 you spend on your Clubcard Credit Card anywhere in the world

A purchase of £320 somewhere other than at Tesco would get you just 80 CC points, worth 80p.
