Can anyone tell me whether you have ever been able to use the special double up vouchers exchange when they do the deal instore or on tesco direct for a netbook?

And if so I wonder when they will do the double up offer again? I was thinking maybe august for back to school stuff?

poppyoscar, I too was wondering about my 650 points and so phoned Tesco and was given the ususal run around. Eventually someone said that the points should appear by 31.05.11!

It would seem that they are now sending out a voucher which you have to take in store to CS to get them added. Wish they would make their mind up before hand, as I was told to look out for the points to be added on in my May statement.

I have a Tesco clubcard and a Tesco credit card, last week shopping I (as always) gave my clubcard to be scanned first, then paid with credit card.

Shop assistant said I should have done credit card only as that would give me triple points, whereas using clubcard first 'only' gives double points, so I was 'losing' points this way ?

I can't work out if this is true or not, my clubcard statement shows Tesco Bank AND Tesco points (about three times as many clubcard points as credit card points?) so I think I'm earning points both ways - do they really cross check and take away the clubcard points if you've paid with a credit card so are earning points there ??

I just phoned Tesco clubcard, who couldn't tell me without checking my account details, then when she was about to tell me I got disconnected - don't really want to spend another 5 minutes in the queue to start again ??

    Anyone know either way ?

I know with fuel that this does effect the points, i have done both, if i give them another clubcard it only gives me 1 point £2 spent on fuel if i just use my credit card i get 1p per £1 spent, this is before any tesco bank points get added.

Didnt think it made a difference in store though.

    cheers

I have never thought about it making a difference, as I only have a Tesco credit card and not a club card. I didn't think I needed a club card because the credit card does both jobs. You can still use it when paying cash.

They probably wouldn't give me a club card now if I asked, as I am already registered as a club card user. Maybe I am wrong.

I thought since the clubcard is linked to the credit card so if you were to forget your clubcard 1 day you would still get the points, maybe give them a call to confirm 1 way or another

I normally just use my credit card, then for small purchases I use my clubcard. I find this way I get some nice vouchers through the mail sometimes, and just lately I have had two £3 off £20 spend till spits which is very nice combined with the £2 off £20 spend from Sainsburys, just have to make sure I spend at least £22!

So I find it best to use my separate clubcard for only small purchases, and I do not combine it with my credit card.

No you don't, you just need to spend at least £20, if you spend exactly £20 you'll get your shopping for £18.

Am I being thick here, when I read Jane's post I thought it meant that you can use the Sainsbury voucher at tesco.

Which obviously means, if you can use it, that if you spend £20 at tesco and use the Sainsbury voucher you have only spent £18 at tesco. Therefore the £2 off a £20 spend from Tesco won't work. So you have to spend at least £22 at tesco, use the sainsbury voucher and still have the total you pay over £20.

Spend £22.00. Voucher from Sainsbury for £2 brings it down to £20, then voucher from Tesco brings it down to £17. Spend still has to be over £20 to qualify for the Tesco voucher.

If you use either voucher alone then the spend would only have to be £20, only has to be £22 so I can use both at once.
