Is t the cash vouchers that are 'locked' ? Or did your order go through, and its a problem with the reward vouchers? It is the Reward line at Tesco Freetime that was closed due to the snow, not the main no - though it is busy. Ring Clubcard early, to check on status of the vouchers - may do it while you wait - depends if a T/L is free!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
I have been on the rewards website and used two different computers to try to put items in my basket. But I keep getting the message 'unexpected error'. Emailed Tesco whose reply informed me that the weather was causing problems and they'd had lots of queries. I'm not that tech knowledgeable, but this sounds like tripe to me, so is it rubbish or perfectly possible? Their grocery site is working fine.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks in advance for any replies.0 -
Have just seen the post above mine, which I think answered my question. Amazingly it was the snow, it seems. Thanks anyway if you read my first post.0

I have never heard of the weather causing problems.
If you can ring them, do so, and if they come out with the same line, respond with a very quizzical "pardon, what do you mean? How does that happen". Hopefully they will think you are knowledgeable and move to another excuse (probably the server is overloaded with too many people logging in !).Thank you for reading this message.0 -
I have been trying for weeks to order rewards online but kept getting the same "unexpected error" message so it is nothing to do with the weather. I phoned Tesco yesterday (for the 2nd time) and was told, again, that it was because of weight of traffic and to keep trying. I told the man at Tesco's that I had been trying regularly over the past 3 weeks, even at 2.00 in the morning and that I can't believe that there is "weight of traffic" at that time. He tried his own personal Clubcard account and said that his was also coming up with that message. He told me that the Tesco Freetime office was closed because of the snow. I always thought that, if I couldn't do the order online I would have the option to send them through the post by recorded delivery. Of course, I hadn't dreamt that the recorded delivery service would be suspended because of the weather!!
I have a lot of Clubcard vouchers I want to redeem and I am really annoyed that I might miss out. In the end I sent the Tesco Freetime people an email and attached my reward order and gave them the numbers of my vouchers. I just hope that they honour this as I am only doing what I would have been doing if the internet and the weather (we are snowed in) weren't working against me.
I really think that Tesco and Freetime should give their customers an early Christmas present and extend the cut off date for a week or 2. I know Tesco can't be held responsible for the snow, but I have wondered if they have done something to make ordering online impossible so less people bother to place orders before the deadline. Has anyone been able to place an order online over the last few days?0 -
Tesco have extended the period for spending the double up vouchers to the 12th Dec. I think you still have to double them up by the 5th, but if like me you want something that is out of stock then you have another week to see if it comes in.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I asked for online clothes vouchers and they've sent them through the post - at least that's what the tracker says but they haven't arrived yet.
I rang to see what was happening, was given another telephone number and then asked a load of personal questions for data protection - at the point when they got to dietary requirements I aske again why they needed the information and was again told it was for data protection.
What they really meant was that they wanted to refine their marketing tools - so they lied about the data protection information - OUTRAGEOUS!!!!:mad:Target of wind & watertight by Sept 20110 -
Are Tesco Rewards for real, or are they a con?
Ordered £320 worth of reward vouchers on 17/11/10 & Tesco confirmed by email they were sent by post on 18/11/10. Since then nothing. Freephone numbers either permanently engaged or voice message saying very busy or closed 'cos of snow or wait 14 days for Royal Mail to deliver!!
Now just 2 days left to 'spend' coupons (although interested to read previous post that date now extended to 12 Dec. Just spoke to Tesco HQ and they have no knowledge of this, nor does my local store.) Local store very helpful but frustrated by lack of help from HQ and I got same response from HQ: "Here's the phone number you've already been trying to call, just keep trying - they're very busy."
So is the fact that I will be walking away with £320 worth of TVs part of the problem? Have Tesco been shocked at the large and expensive items people are requesting? Are they deliberately employing delaying tactics?0 -
Update: got through on phone to new voice message saying closed 'cos of snow and no staff, sorry for delays but check your spam email box ..... which I did and found two emails containing all necessary eCoupon codes! So why on earth do they also claim to have sent them by Royal Mail 18 days ago?? Bizarre.0
