    It seems to me that they keep moving th goalposts. What will you go for next if they cannot upgrade you?

    Move! Where to I'm unsure really. I have a cash card account with Barclays but no cheque book.

    I'll wait and see what happens. I'm going to have to try HSBC or Halifax.

    Very bizarre. It amazes me what he can get really. :rolleyes::p

    They won't give him a current account but off him a loan, what a strange bank.

    Remember that Personal Bankers at HSBC & Barclays can override if they want to..... Maybe worth asking Barclays if you have any limits?? Not sure if they are generated on a basic account but worth asking. Does it come with online banking?

    You have you apply for a separate account with Barclays, which will be declined! :(

    HSBC, mmmm, I'll apply online to spare the embarrassment of a decline! :o
