  • Hiya everyone !

As you can see ive just signed up and therefore new to the site.

Im very familiar with forums and forum etiquette so no problems there but before i get flamed for not using the search feature, the reason for this is that i have a direct question that needs a direct answer with which a forum search probably wouldnt suffice.

Also theres way too many pages to surf for answers so it really is easier in this instance for me to ask !

Ok here goes, like everyone on here and the non registered people that may be reading ive been there, done that etc on the credit front and have learned the hard way that credit is something that needs micromanaging inorder to keep clean and unfortunatly i didnt.

Back to the here and now, the short version is that i need a sub prime credit card of any shape, form, credit limit or APR but i dont know who to approach first !

I already have a "My cash plus" prepaid Mastercard and swear by it on the basis if you havent got the cash you cant use it :T

The reason i need a small amount of credit is that as you can see from my screenname im a sameday van courier and the standard (or usual) terms of business are 30 days from invoice or end of month and i need to fund the diesel for this period until the invoices are paid to me by my customers.

Im not DHL or FedEx but a humble sole trader hence the need to have "running money".

Im actually turning away lucrative work from a freight exchange website that im a member of due to the fact that i cant front the diesel !

Everything else is set up, my van is owned outright, fully comp courier insurance, goods in transit and public liability insurance everything is set up to carry out my business but ive got this one hurdle to overcome and month after month i cant seem to get out of the small hole im in.

My freight exchange membership, my van, my van insurances, my business insurances everythings going to waste as all i do is surf the net and online gaming all day hoping that something will happen but we all know if you want something you have to go and get it as it wont come to you !

So can anyone experienced in these matters make any suggestions ?

Are there any companies that take your application on an individual basis or are they all tickbox scenarios ?

Im not even gonna think about the High St lenders as i know they will turn me down point blank so to minimise the amount of applications going on my file who would be best to approach first ?

I would be happy with any level of starting credit limit ie £200 / £250 or whatever i just need a leg up to get the wheels rolling.

Today ive had to turn down an £800 job from Heathrow to Leeds as ive not got the £100 diesel required so can you see my frustrations ?

Usually on forum questions it helps if one supplies a few details, ive got 2 outstanding bills with Orange (Telecom) which im hoping to pay off in installments and im currently living with my brother and not on the electoral roll so its not looking good sofar is it ?

If i can get out of this small hole my earnings could go through the roof (not boasting just showing you the frustration of where im stuck at).

Sorry for the long post and i look forward to some responses in due course !

    Regards to all,

    Andy

PS: I would need it ASAP as ive got companies ringing left right and centre to book jobs for next week which im also having to turn away thus damaging my reputation, when i say i need it ASAP what i mean is a company that doesnt take weeks to consider your application etc.

Try Capital one, vanquis or Aqua this are all sub prime credit cards and I am sure that one of them should accept you.

You sound like Vanquis will be more suited to you. Vanquis have the lowest criteria generally............... Regarding time frame Capital One can sometimes offer an Instant Descion so may be worth trying them.

    Best of luck
