Sub Prime Credit Thread Part II

Morning everyone im hoping someone here will be able to help me. Im a total credit leper no one will touch me except a tmobile contract tried every low credit score product. im abroad for a few months and just before i left i joined credit expert, got the password the day before i left. my question is iv been trying to access my file for a couple of weeks now but the page will just not load is this some sort of security as i am not in the uk.

I have a couple of catalogue accounts showing on my credit file. They have zero balances but quite high credit limits 2K and 3K. This impacts on my available credit.....as I dont use these anymore is there any way of getting these as settled accounts ie removing the available credit? Would I need to write to them?

Hi Guys

All of the nasties that I did have on my credit file have now been satisfied and I have a Lloyds basic account. I've also managed to open a premier man account which I've made a couple of my monthly payments on. Should the Lloyds basic account show up on my credit file and what else would you suggest I apply to to try and improve my credit rating. I also managed to hang on to an O2 contract phone, which I assume is helping.

I would close them then. Just give them a ring and ask for written confirmation that the accounts have been closed. It can take a month or two for them to show as "settled" on your credit file.

The O2 and Premier Man account should show up. Not sure on the LTSB as it is a basic account so no credit is involved. Have you tried a sub prime card like Vanquis?
