I applied for Vanquis 3 weeks ago now, they searched my Experian report (twice!), and have heard nothing.
How long does it normally take?0 -
-
Will give them a call tommorow.
Also, been reading up about the Flybe card.
I have four defaults on my Equifax file, two relate to a Hire Purchase repo, following losing my job last year, although i'm making payments to that, and the other two relate to a CC and Loan, once again, am making repayments.
What's their criteria regarding defaults?, does anyone have one in a similar situation?0 -

I've no idea what they are like re defaults Gazzy. I'm very tempted to apply to them as well. I do recall reading that they give all applicants CIFAS markers though so that would be a bit of a bummer.
anyone know whether Flybe take people with not that much credit history?0 -
Can't imagine receiving a CIFAS marker, if you're honest on the application though
Just applied for an Accessory Card, as I have some good standing JD Williams accounts, will keep you updated on the result, just got the 'We'll contact you in 10-14 days' message for now. :rolleyes:0 -
I want to push my luck and apply for a HSBC Credit Card. I've only been with them a month and only have an income of 6.5k (I'm a student). I have 0 credit history and 9 searches within the last 6 months and no active accounts (As of yet, awaiting for my Aqua card to come through).
I've already been turned down online when I applied for a £50 overdraft.
Is it worth applying, or it a waste of time and more damage to my credit rating?0 -
evening all0

Probably worth waiting at least 6 months until you've got some payment history on your Aqua card, and so your previous searches dissapear.
Acceptable searches are classed as 5 in 6 months iirc.0 -
