    hi everyone just a quick quetion my oh has banked with rbs for 11 years has a good risk band and has o/d £2700 he sent a letter asking for his charges back only totaled £180 due to the fact these charges were bank error not his and he recived a letter from rbs saying they have decided to close his account and has 30days to find a bank account outside the rbs and natwest group can they do this i know they can withdraw facilities but he has held a good account for 11 years

    Banks have a habit of doing this when you request charges back.....
    You are not the first and wont be the last
    Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
    Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
    6 credit accounts closed in 2010!

    Out of interest how are your Barclays pre approved offers looking today?

    no pre approved offers at the moment!!! I suppose there is always next month! I may ring Abbey and ask them.

    You may want to report their actions to the OFT, the FSA and anyone else you can think of. The banks were expressly prohibited from taking retaliatory action against anyone reclaiming their charges

    hi everybody i just want to ask that i made some mistake in the past one of debt went sent to court and we agreed to be paying £5 a mths and i was sick and never cared of paying for 3mths now the court dit send a warrant to came on the 10/04/09 to receive half of the money (£150) which i dont have at the mmt becouse am living on income sp. can a anyone help me or how to write a letter please.

    Your best would be to post this on the debt-free forum.

    If I was in your circumstances I would go to the County Court and fill out a suspension form to suspend the Warrant of Execution. The form will cost you £25 and will ask you how much you can afford per month.

    i have now dradfted a letter to fos and sent a copy to the account closing team at rbs aswell thanks for your help
