I see your thanks button is back..;)

Ah, congratulation Cif, this looks very promising. It maybe because you run your Ulster one well.

    What do you think?
But TPF and RBS are seperate now. I have sent all the documents off (it was quite weighty) so we will see what happens

So aren't RBS systems linked with TPF's anymore. There was a ruck the other night about this wasn't there.

The application pages do look the same though. Any chance of this being verified somewhere?

I think this post details it quite well. Also, when I get letters and statements from Ulster Bank the RBS logo is on them. They are missing on letters from TPF

It may help NID if he also reads this:-

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/2790973/Royal-Bank-of-Scotland-to-sell-its-stake-in-Tesco-bank.html

Just because something comes out of the card processing centre in Southend-on-Sea does not mean necessarily it is dealt with by RBS. The centre is not homohgenous it is made up of many different companies and departments all which have separate data controller registrations. Maybe using Hunter one will find out about another but not by direct contact.

Tesco cards are issued by Tesco Personal Finance a part of the Tesco Group, again they are the data controller.

Just because of a similarity in on-line application forms means nothing, Tesco use their own scorecard and if you are declined for a product in the RBS group you may well be accepted for a product in another part of the RBS group or indeed from a non RBS related company such as Tesco.

All I conceed is that at the moment they may have a contract with RBS to emboss cards and issue statements that does not make it an RBS group company, etc. etc.

    Thanks for the information.

There has been alot of debate on this very subject as you have probably gathered. ;)

    2nd Class Cif? ;)

So 3 months bank statements and 2 Utility bills? Anything else?

I wonder what I would be able to send them? It would have to be a DWP letter I guess.

Do you think you'll get accepted then?
