Do all them searches belong to you?

Yes mate, the stuff that aint mine is over 4 years old so doesnt show under searches in last 6 months - 6 months LOL

Regards to Tesco, try them mate - you prob will get accepted but remember they do checks again at the time you return forms - I explained this last week when you said to someone that it was an accept and I said nooo hold your horses - proved that with yet another accept online/decline letter! Bummer.

I think once you pass the system 'score' then you get accepted but then someone looks at it in detail which then creates a decline.

    Bummer but hey ho!

TBH I am suprised you get accepted for all that but me and sutton get declined...

Yea cos Ive got a full bank a/c and 3 credit cards mate - at the time I applied my experian was empty (it was blank until Jan 2009) so I used that to appeal and won. Now my experian is screwed cos they linked me to my old address and now have ermmm, 300 searches in last 12 months!

Yes but I used that to appeal.... I said that equifax was in process of deleting and until they have done it, please see my recent experian file. Also, all people who I have account with primarily use experian with equifax as a secondary search so when I showed them my experian report they used it (I sent the original off in post)

    BOI - Experian
    HSBC - Experian
    BOI - Experian
    Vanquis - Experian

    Credit Scoring: http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/finance/creditcards/elh/what-factors-affect-a-credit-rating.html

Or what doesnt count toward score: http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/finance/creditcards/elh/what-doesnt-count-towards-a-credit-score.html

    quote:
Scoring models do not take into account:
    • age
    • race
    • sex
    • job or length of employment at your job
    • income
    • education
    • marital status
    • whether you've been turned down for credit
    • length of time at your current address
    • whether you own a home or rent

    From Tesco:

    Your credit rating

As part of the assessment process for a Tesco Credit Card, we consult a credit reference agency.
They hold different types of information, of which some will be relevant to your application. For instance, they hold details of who is on the electoral roll, court judgments, credit account performances, number of recent credit inquiries, and bankruptcies.

Tesco Personal Finance uses a company called Experian to check applicants' credit history. If you are turned down for credit, this is not a decision made by Experian, but by Tesco Personal Finance, based on our own criteria.
If you would like to see what information is held about you at the credit reference agency, you can do this by accessing their website www.experian.co.uk (new window). Please note a fee may be charged.
