Maybe but if you got barclays premier then why not use it as your main bank and use hsbc as back up only? i.e. forget the internal score mate...?

Otherwise just transfer some between banks once or twice a month to credit HSBC - ven pay a couple of bills using the HSBC account to improve score. Dormant accounts stay between 40-50 all the time so lending cannot be increased but likewise isn't reduced.

    Make sense?

Now, I transfer £700 a month to m y HSBC account for my general spending. I do this because Barlcays told me I can improve my score by showing concitency within my account. By doing this it means that every month Barclays know I have £700 transferred out on this date, £500 to savings, and the rest my DD. This means that to Barclays I am predictable and there should never be any shocks to the system. Now all HSBC see is erratic expenditure and me sounking loads of money.

    Get what I mean?
    Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
    Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000

Only £200 mate but I got that from day one..... on my second account they said no (remember my score was low then) only went up a lot in last 9 weeks cos they have 3+ month history on me and I use HSBC for everything!
My O/D is only £200 aswell. I got this when I first opened the account or very close to the beggining. I only had a behaviour score of 36 at the time. I haven't applied for an extention as I have £2400 O/D else where LOL.

I think they give £200 limit to customers they are unsure about.

I understand mate, best advice is carry on as nirmal but do this: Set up a couple of direct debits back to Barclays, so instead of transferring £500 to barclays savings and £700 to HSBC, send "1000 to HSBC and £200 into savings, leave for a week then send the extra £300 back via standing order to barclays savings. This shows hsbc you can manage payments. Also start to use cheques.....

Do not apply for more - wait 6mth since last o/d or you get charged mate. Plus 99% you get a decline as you have to wait 6mth before any lending request will be agreed.

I agree - think this is a starter limit cos the usual is minimum of £500 - guess after 6mth then we'll get a £500 o/d plus a CC. Cos our scores will be fine, we both do similar and my score is only a little higher but then i dont use o/d so may be why - we both had account same time as well... see my point? very similar but my score is a little higher...

Ok, so when did you last apply for CC? November? then you should go into branch in May and do it again for a deffo yes mate! Best advice is to do it the first tueday of the month cos the scores are updated on the first monday of the month at HSBC - obviously if this means you last applied 5mth + so many days then wait til june. Dont get impatient or you have a 7 month wait, trust me just hold fire for the full 6mth period and you'll get accepted mate
