How do you remove a default once you have paid it. I'm going to reapply for HSBC in 3 months but i need this bloody default removed.

Defaults stay on file for 6 years from date of default, once you have paid it, your credit reports update to show satisfied but most lenders tend to overlook it after about 12 months(if i remember)
