    HSBC dont give cards to non hsbc bank customers - its been like this for yonks now......

    Please note: This product is currently only available to existing HSBC current account customers.

    I don't have any banking connection with HSBC other then a credit card. That was May last year.

    Just Equifax for me ...

    we have learned from past discussions that each lender changes their CRA criteria dependant on the applicant. Some always search one company until someone unique applies then they may seek to use the other CRA so to be honest nothing is set in stone regards to which CRA they search. I classify it as they use both and if they dont then great!

    Pattern seems to be banks search both and credit cards use one or the other. Monument was the only one unique to use part time CRA (call crappy credit)

    I believe they changed the rule in October. It doesn't affect you at all. HAve they ever increased your limit?

    cheers - didn't know this! sure shelfstacker will confirm but I trust you mate - although they told me last July I couldn't apply as I didn't bank with them..... but that could be cos it was near to October - who knows! maybe the branch were being tight, maybe I didn;t look their type LOL

    Yes, you're right ... It's hard to second guess who they are going to use.

    Yes, after 3 months it went up by £500 ... nothing since then.
