So too many cards with lowish balances could freak them out as well eh??
maybes think of closing down 1 or 2 if no repeats come through, then wait till cra's update before applying. Does that sound better too you ??

What about how many cards you have allready do they like people with many cards even though they are using them as the t&c's

Deffo mate - say 10 cards with a 500 limit, this is as bad as having 10 cards with 10 grand limits cos in time the cards with 500 limits will increase and they could go upto 20k.... see the problem?

Personally, i'd keep around 4 cards all with reasonable limits and use them.....

Current account history is a good thing. You are meant to use them correctly so it only helps your score - if you didn't pay them right then you'd have late markers which would result in a decline.

    see what i'm saying?

    YEP matey
So applications at this time will/could result in declines even though i have 5 years history and nothing but goodness on all my accounts..

It's what they think they see is a problem innit?? ie lots of cards = possible loss of money due to over spending/commiting!

How many cards you got then m8??

    hi guys,

    hope you are all well.

i applied for a jd williams account the other day and when i go to pay for something the only option i have is to pay by card, things must be bad if i cant get credit from them, i've not had a letter or email to say i've not been given credit but they have done a credit check so not sure whats goin on.

would they send a letter if they decided not to give me credit.

    thanks

No they won't send you a decline letter. What's on your credit file?

when you log-in does it say 'welcome - Mr nick - you have 125 available to spend' or just 'welcome Mr Nick' Go Shopping?

That will answer for you - if the latter then yes, its a decline. I got this with jacamo but JD accepted me - the same day funnily enough.....

It could update overnight though, you need to log out and in again clearing all history/cache etc
